"We had an amazing week with our pups this week! The house was everything described and more. The weather was perfect. We ventured out on a few hikes, made a couple stops at Tug Hill estates for wine and to pick blueberries, and even went to the fair. The water behind the house is beautiful and refreshing. We can’t wait to come back. We met the owner and the property manager was always available for a question!"

"Having the two apartments side by side with a connecting door was perfect for our situation. Both parties had privacy when needed but could easily share cooking,food and time together as they wished. So many amenities were provided like soaps, paper towels, tissues, garbage bags, linens and even wood for the fire pit. The host was amazing to work with. We loved that we were not butted right up against other lake houses but had space which gave our dog some freedom. The dog loved the water. The boat launch next to the house was too steep to launch our pontoon boat but there was easier access nearby and our own dock to use just down the hill from the house. The decor was well done and fitting for the adirondacks. The lake was much bigger than imagined and my 16 year old grandson (who had gotten his boating certification for the trip) was in his glory driving us around it. We had a great stay!"

"My only issue was the fire pit and picnic table were on the side of the cabin when ideally I would love them along the river like a couple other cabins I saw. Other than that we had a great time and so did our dogs. Thanks so much"

"The cabins are spotless and provided everything we needed for our stay; plenty of towels, pots and pans, and comfortable beds. The store next door has a wide variety of freshly made baked goods and premade meals. And, the property is very quiet and relaxing."
Peaceful Pines Cottage 5 minutes from Old Forge - Lake Access to Lake Tekini

"We enjoyed our stay at peaceful Pines. The Okara Lakes area is lovely and it was close to Old Forge. The cottage was quaint and well cared for. I was disappointed that the amenities list was not accurate. The description said the kitchen was fully stocked. However when we went to make coffee, there was no coffee or coffee filters offered. Additionally, both drip makers were dirty and in need of cleaning. We were also told we had to bring extra toilet paper and paper towels, which for the price we paid for the rental was a bit much. Lastly, the washing machine was not operable as it was under repair. For 900 for a 3 night stay, I would expect this to be a working amenity,"

"Myself, and 6 friends rented this beautiful home for a long weekend full of atv riding, and dining in this beautiful corner of the Adirondacks. We couldn’t have been happier with the accommodations, the location, the modern amenities, and the gracious host, Nicole, whom we didn’t meet, but was very friendly and helpful when we had questions. We will definitely return soon, and highly recommend this property."
