"Oberstdorf is a beautiful hiking paradise with plenty of Hotels. Hence there is no need to stay in the sub-par Fuggerhof where you are put into a basement room while the unfriendly front desk staff tries to up-sell you into an above ground room - as if that were a special feature. "We chose to stay, having done so about 6 years ago, and as before this was a wonderful hotel in every way. The staff are really friendly and helpful, the rooms are large with comfy beds (we had a Mountain View room), and the breakfast is fantastic. We ate in the restaurant on one evening, which was really nice too. We used the hot tub and sauna every day, but being brits we aren’t so sure about the “nakedness” of this facility! Not for us…. "It's way apart from being an Alpine Luxury Resort. Old buildings, outdated elevators, dark rooms. Three ☆☆☆ is the max for this location."

"A really well kept house and property. Our room was large and bathroom was modern. It was very comfortable. Good wifi throughout. No breakfast option, but you can make use of the kitchen. The host communicated well. We were asked to make our full payment by bank transfer soon after booking. This may seem odd for people from some countries and cause for concern, but is apparently normal in Germany."

"The property is a bit dated but the kindness of the staff and the INCREDIBLE views won me over. Even though the hotel is a bit older, I slept wonderfully and the food in the restaurant was fantastic! (We had pork with spatzle, chicken soup, Dubai Chocolate drink and an Aperol Spritz). Would stay here again. Beautiful walk along the road the hotel sits on. "

"Great location and reasonably priced. Lodges are a good size but there is a real issue with cleanliness. The whole lodge required a self clean before it was ready to move into. I do not believe that the cleaners at this park actually do their job. The Aqua Mundo is very good and there is plenty of activities to book. Staff were friendly. I would advise against booking this in the heat of the summer as the Market dome is not air conditioned and acts like a greenhouse. We have done 6 Center Parcs throughout Europe and this scores averagely in comparison. "

"Reception on floor 1, but check-in was in the restaurant/bar on floor 0. Took a bit to figure this out. Air conditioning was struggling to cool the room--probably due to dirty filters (there wasn't much airflow)--but the neighborhood was quite quiet and the night air was cool which allowed us to cool the room quickly just by opening the windows. Great place to stay right in the heart of this charming town!"
