"We enjoyed our stay at the hotel finely. We did unfortunately have to change rooms due to a buzzing noise from the refrigeration system. Fortunately, this went easily and we were upgraded to one of the suites. It should be mentioned that the front of the hotel and restaurant 1937 both look fantastic but the experience towards and in the rooms is authentic and somewhat dated."

"The hotel is undergoing a full refurbishment but even the older rooms are of a good standard. Friendly, helpful staff. Car parking is across the road at the station but the daily rate is acceptable. Handy for the rail station. 10 minutes walk into the centre of town. I will use this place again. "

The position of the hotel and the ambience were such that I decided to stay that night rather than driving to an over expensive and anonymous airport hotel at Schiphol. Check in was quick, efficient and friendly so that was a good start. My room was at the top of the hotel with original timbers exposed so full of character. I would say that with -5C outside the room and especially bathroom heating...
