"We loved the hotel, but it seemed like they had a problem with their septic at the Duke’s Residence. Luckily we were on the 3 rd floor, where the smell was not as bad. Once they get that straightened out, we would probably give it 5 stars!"

"Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was basic but very clean. Very nice bathroom. Stairs to go up to rooms were very steep, narrow and winding- they were dangerous to navigate. Website advertised onsite parking but it was in fact in a parking garage a few streets over. It was very difficult to get in and out of. They also advertised a fridge in the room, but there was in fact no fridge."

"We received no information on how to check in until I called after having to hunt down the phone number because the one on hotels.com was disconnected and got the code to enter the house less than 24 hours prior to our arrival. Requested parking and received no information about parking had to find our own parking once we arrived. Sent multiple messages on the hotels'com website but never received response. Apartment is a nice sized space and could be wonderful but has seen better days - hole...

"Very quaint, central boutique hotel on the canal. Staff very pleasant and helpful with suggestions. Spacious room, very clean, modern bathroom with a large soaker tub! Lovely views of the canal from the room. Good variety for the breakfast. Overall, lovely stay and would highly recommend! Jori"
