Rokštejn, an important monument of medieval architecture, is a frequent destination for walks from Brtnice. The castle was built in the 13th century, and after a complicated development was burned down and damaged as a base of nobles supporting religious reformer Jan Hus. In the 14th century it was a centre of the Margraviate and regional administration.
