"The Hummingbird House offers a wonderful getaway. The place is comfortable and clean, and the hosts have stocked it with everything one needs - including fresh eggs from their chickens. The property is private and out it in country, yet close enough to easily go back and forth to town (or in our case, the Bluegrass Festival at the Fairgrounds). The view is incredible and the hosts couldn't be more welcoming or accommodating. We love the Hummingbird House!"

"Secluded location , the drive is rough on a car little worse than described. Also the garden was not a garden and not usable the swimming hone is anbit of a drive to get to. Otherwise it is an amazing place"

"The smell of the many trees surrounding the property was invigorating. While there are neighboring properties within eyesight, and the owners live on site, our experience was very peaceful. From what the owner told me upon our arrival Spring might be the best time to visit when everything is blooming. The grounds had a Wintertime dead look while we stayed over Christmas. The unit was comfortably furnished, and wood was provided for the stove. The only negative thing I have to say about the terms...

"We were unable to find the property and had no response from the host after an email regarding conflicting emails with two different check in times. We were on a wild goose chase with our navigation leading us to 3 different areas all with either a dead end road or locked gate! Frustrating- Would recommend no one to rent this place in the future! also would recommend Vrbo/expedia have a way to contact host directly for times like this!"

"This cute cabin was meticulously decorated with "lake-venture" deco and had extremely comfortable furniture and bedding to accommodate all age groups (kids/teens/adults). We had every amenity necessary from kitchenware to laundry detergent. The kayaks and paddle boards made this an amazingly fun reunion for us on this beautiful lake!"

"Really cool and unique spot. The sauna is wood fired and gets really hot once you get it going. There's a huge tub to either bathe in or use as a cold plunge. The outdoor kitchen is huge and very cool and has everything you need, but no large oven. Recommended."
