Lake View Home, Fire Pit, Grill, Fireplace, 5 minutes to boat ramp

BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF LAKE CUMBERLAND AND PITTMAN CREEK.

Our 2 bedroom home features a fully equipped kitchen with a new stove and new refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave, washer and dryer, gas grill, flat-screen Roku 40" TV, Blu-ray DVD player, central A.C., and a spacious deck. It is furnished with the following beds: one king, one queen, and one double in the second bedroom, and two twin beds (daybed and trundle).

We are conveniently located 5 minutes from Burnside Marina, 10 minutes from Somerset, and 15 minutes from Conley Bottom Marina.

Enjoy the stars at night while overlooking the lake or gathering around the fire pit for a good old-fashioned campfire.

Dogs are welcome at our home. The pet fee is $85 for one and $150 for two dogs.  Also, there is a fully refundable $200 pet deposit which is paid and refunded via Paypal or Venmo.   Please note that, while our home is pet-friendly, dogs are not allowed on the furniture or beds as this can create a serious health issue for subsequent guests with pet allergies. Therefore, we ask that you bring a crate or pet bed so your pet is comfortable and you don't incur any extraordinary cleaning expenses.  Also, please clean up after your pet in the yard.

Nice place to stay overlooking the water but the house was full of bugs and dead bugs behind every piece of furniture. Hosts were very nice and communicated well.

Loved the view!

This is a nice little house and is as advertised. Very comfortable and cozy. The view is stunning. It has everything you need in the kitchen. Very quiet neighborhood. Loved our coffee in the morning on the deck. In the evening it was perfect to grill out and enjoy a glass of wine. The outdoor firepit is a bonus. It is rustic but nice and the owner left some wood for us as well. We really enjoyed the warmth and crackle of the fire while looking out over the lake and the lights on the rolling hills. The owners were easy to work with and communication was great. We appreciate that we were able to check in early. We’d highly recommend this house.

Wonderful Lake View But Disappointing Accommodations

The outdoor space was nice and had a great lake view however the house was so musty even after we tried Lysol and candles we could only stay one night of the two we booked. Your shoes stuck to the kitchen and dining area sheet flooring and the carpet and furniture in the living room was very dated and stained. Also the TV was a challenge to operate.

Was in a good location. We had trouble with the beds, king was really hard, not good for my back with several discs messed up and then we went to the other room and we could sleep better, not like at home.

Very pretty

I loved how it seems secluded but involved at the same time. Very clean, had lots of utensils and extra helpful things. Loved how many towels etc were in the bathroom. Porch was awesome great view.

Very nice house with a superb view!

We had a really wonderful stay here! The house was spacious with comfortable beds and seating, tasteful decor, and a small but well designed kitchen. The neighborhood was very peaceful and inviting - very close to Burnside and Somerset, but set back about a half mile from the main road so no city noise. All this was great, but one thing really stood out... ...the deck! The view from the rear deck is AMAZING! It overlooks a fairly active part of Lake Cumberland so you'll see plenty of boats and jet skis, and has an awesome view of Burnside's *Houseboat Capital of the World Bridge* which was icing on the cake. Really couldn't ask for a better view, and the deck had a lot of various styles of chairs which made it extra comfy to spend time out there. We really have nothing bad to say about our stay. It was great, the price was right and the owners were delightful to communicate with. Thanks for the great mini-vacation! PS - Sorry about leaving a few things in the fridge - completely forgot about that til we were home! Wups!

Great location to allow you and yours to go on whatever adventures you'd like to for the day. The view is amazing and house is perfect for a family to dine in our just kick back and relax.

Needs updating.

When we stayed there updates were needed. There is no tv, Just Ruko. Most of the time it did not work. I would suggest having the modem in the living room for better coverage. The bed on the main room is hard as a rock, we couldn’t even sleep on it. Also in the room with two beds, the sheets were huge and would not stay on. The back deck had a beautiful views. However The rails on the desk were very lose and their are huge spaces between the wood. This would not be safe for young.

Relaxing get away

I gave this listing 4 stars, mostly because it isn’t really what most people think of when they think of a 5 star stay. It’s exactly what I picture when I think of a family vacation home. It’s an older home, and it’s been well loved. It’s a bit shabby but comfortable and really clean. It’s much larger than it appears from the front. We slept on the King size bed and while it wasn’t the most comfortable mattress we ever slept on., it was far from the worst. (And mattresses are a very personal thing anyhow.). As the listing says, this home could very comfortably sleep 6. The shining star here is the beautiful view and the expansive deck to enjoy it from. We saw a couple of bald eagles pass by at least four or five times within 24 hours. We visited Cumberland Falls and Natural Arch scenic area while we stayed here. Both were definitely worth seeing, although the Arch requires a bit of work to see, as there are around 160 steps down to get to it. It seemed like a lot more on the way back! I cannot speak to the internet as we were never able to access it. Our phone data worked great though. We didn’t try to watch tv either. My biggest negative is the communication with the host, but this did not factor into my rating. We never got any of the emails that they sent, and in some cases even sent twice,, except for the messages they sent via the VRBO site. Between the two of us we spent better than an hour searching email/trash and junk but never found them. The host had the correct email address so I’m not sure where the problem was. All in all, it was a relaxing weekend.

Little house with a great view

The house was small but perfect for the four of us and two small dogs. It had everything we needed for a six day relaxing vacation. the house was clean as were the linen and towels provided. The kitchen, also clean, had what we needed to prepare meals. We brought our own grill utensils because my father is a grill snob. The deck is a perfect spot to watch the sun rise. One thing to keep in mind is the internet is painfully weak. When I was online with my graduate coursework, nobody else could get on. Streaming had a lot of buffering. Bring DVD's for the evening movie and popcorn. I felt comfortable contacting Jim and Clara at any time. They responded quickly. Even gave us a couple of good ideas for short day trips.
