Arcos de Valdevez is a beautiful little town on the outskirts of the Peneda Geres National Park in northern Portugal. The quaint cobbled streets and sleepy bars flow out onto the promenade which runs along the river. On warm summer afternoons the shallow waters are filled with bathers seeking refuge from the heat.

This photo shows one of my greatest experience of 2019. 🐎❤️ I organize advanced cycling day tours in the Peneda-Geres National Park, and on one occasion we stumbled into a bunch of Garrano #wildhorses. There is always a chance to see them in the Serra da Soajo, but this time there were at least 20 of them. It was a unique experience even for me, although I visit this place quite often. #Geres #Portugal #animals #horses #bicycletour #cycling #nature
