Clean campground with room to play and explore. Hiking paths are easily found, quite a few hills make this a moderate hike (kids do fine, but be careful if you have knee issues). There is a chance you will see herds of elk near the Dosewallips River, and the river itself is great fun. Nearby there are more places to explore, including a walk right on the Puget Sound shore of Hood Canal.

"The cabin was clean and well equipped. It was just right for the 2 of us. The view is amazing and this place is so so quiet. We were cozy inside during the rain and enjoyed a great hike nearby. The locals are friendly and helpful. We will recommend this cabin to our friends and probably be back next year."

"Spend a couple nights here with my partner to celebrate our anniversary and we couldn’t have chosen a more perfect spot. We loved the beautiful location as well as the adorable cabin, that was well stocked with everything we could possibly need. The wood-burning stove was probably our favorite part and we spent both nights curled up in front of it with a fire burning. We already have plans to come back and stay again in the fall during mushroom hunting season!"

"The Hood Canal Beachfront Bungalow is a great place to stay if you are looking for a few quiet days. The cabin was very clean, and everything I needed for cooking was there. I really enjoyed the fireplace and the telescope. But most of all, the quiet was amazing. I would definitely recommend!"

The kitchen had everything we needed (just bring your spices and food!). There was a pack and play, highchair/booster combo, and I think an infant tub. The backyard was nice and big and there was a double gate to get to the stairs on the beach. This at least slowed down our toddler who always wanted to go down and throw rocks in the water.
