"Arriving at Eucalyptus Retreat, we were greeted by two charming alpacas and a lovely donkey. They helped set the scene for a lovely, relaxed weekend in charming Macclesfield. The accommodation is compact but not squeezey and had everything we could have asked for. The deck was a lovely place to relax, take in the views, cook our dinner on the barbecue and watch the sun go down. "Host was very accommodating however the property description doesn't match reality. Cooking was via a shared barbecue, washing up needed to be done in the bathroom vanity and the restaurant was closed. Most meals required a 20 minute drive to Nairne...or slightly further to Mt Barker. It would be OK for an overnight stay or weekend if you wanted to travel around the Adelaide Hills. Longer stays are very difficult."
