"This was a late booking, and I wasn't sure if I'd get there on time (I was coming from Sydney); but all was good. Room was clean, warm, and the coffee AND BISCUITS in the room were most welcome. btw ... having the Chinese restaurant on the premises was a huge bonus too. I ordered take-away that night (because I'd arrived late) and the servings were huge! A good night's stay :o)"

"I really enjoyed staying here in the One Bedroom Villa which was dog friendly (the other rooms aren't). It was perfect for our stay - It was a decent size, all very clean and organised. The one bedroom villas also have lovely views to a pond and out across the vineyards and mountains. We stayed in winter so it was cold in the Valley at night but the gas fire kept us so cosy. Kitchen is great and has microwave, decent little fridge, electric frying pan, cutlery and plates. It just lacks an oven/stove. We could watch the sun set and in the mornings see Kangaroos and birds right outside the window. Its close to lots of the vineyards in Polkbien. Its largely a self service hotel - no one physically at reception. So you need to download an app to checkin and get the key passcode. The cleaners are often there and very helpful if you need things."

"Rooms looked tired and in need of some attention. Walls had paint missing, bathroom fixtures were rusty. Toilet didn't flush properly so water was running all night."

"Great location next to the workers club, join up for $10 and get $4 schooners, great discounts on meals too. Staff very friendly, room very clean and good size. Will be staying here again."

"The property is certainly value for money. We have stayed on several occasions and find even though the decor is outdated in the Olive Grove rooms the rooms are very spacious and have a relaxed outlook. The bathrooms are large as well. There is convenient parking in front of the rooms too. The staff are friendly and we would recommend a stay. You can't beat the price in Pokolbin!"

"This place is highly recommended for travellers with kids. The room is nicely arranged and spacious for hotel type of accommodation. Restaurant/bars and activities are within walking distance. Staff are friendly and helpful. I really like the vibe here. The only negative experience of our stay was I preordered some chocolate coated strawberries, a cheese platter with a bottle of Moscato. It is not worth $80. We literally had 5 small size strawberries, a bit of dry sultana, about a quarter of brie, and a spoonful of cottage cheese. The Moscato was nice though. Apart from that everything else was great and will definitely come back without preordering the food"
