Knock House Hotel

"Knock House hotel was perfect. Very easy and short walk to Knock shrine. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel kindly stored our luggages after check-out, allowing us to continue with our planned activities at Knock Shrine without any hassle. Breakfast buffet was delicious and there was a good spread of various dishes. Service staff were great. Dinner at the hotel’s restaurant was amazing too, had the best seafood chowder ever! Manager there spoke to us at dinner to welcome us. Wonderful hospitality. Booked a triple room which was big and spacious. The room was also peaceful and quiet, clean and comfortable particularly the beds. Had a nice, peaceful and restful sleep. Bathroom was also spacious and clean. Only stayed for a night but wished it was longer as it was such a wonderful and lovely stay. Had booked and stayed in about 10 hotels in a trip travelling around Europe and this was the best one. Highly recommended! Knock Shrine is a very peaceful and spiritually enriching place, a great place to pray, unwind, disconnect, and spend some time in reflection and contemplation. The bookshop has an extensive range of books which is impressive. Would love to visit again and stay longer, and would definitely stay at Knock House Hotel again."

"Really pretty hotel. Room was very clean and comfortable (signature room 311 on 3rd floor. It had a nice seating area in a turret. Breakfast was quite good with lots of options. We only ate dinner in the bar not the fancy restaurant and the food was okay though a bit salty. we felt service was a bit haughty which was unexpected as everyone on our trip has been so welcoming. Maybe they just don't like Americans here as the front desk staff was dismissive on separate occasions. Even so, I would stay again."

"This hotel is a nice relaxing place to stay in. Staff are the best, food is excellent. The shower is the only problem, they need to move the shower curtain rod away from the bathtub to give more space when using the shower."

"A magical stay near Bracklagh — perfect for familiese had an excellent stay at Tigh Mhic in Bracklagh with our two boys, and it’s easy to see why this spot is so special. The quaint country road leading to the cottage set the tone right away, and we were delighted to find Shetland ponies and surrounding farms just outside — a real treat for our kids. A local cat took a liking to us during our stay, and it became one of those small, unexpected moments the boys still talk about.One of our favorite surprises was the hidden bar in the cottage — such a unique and special touch that made the stay feel even more memorable.The location was ideal for us, as it’s close to family in Cloonfad, making it easy to combine a relaxing cottage stay with visits nearby. The host was incredibly kind and went out of their way to help us find the house, which we really appreciated.We’d happily stay at Tigh Mhic again and recommend it to any family looking for a peaceful, scenic base in this part of Ireland."
