"Alan and Aryna were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them. A lovely warm greeting on arrival, a tour of our cabin and all the information we needed to enjoy our stay. Breakfast was amazing with endless amounts offered of fresh produce, fresh fruit, yougurt, cereals etc, not to mention the delicious fresh croissants and danishes every morning. It was a gorgeous little cabin, and we especially loved having the fire going and sitting in the bath watching the night sky through the windows. We got to pat the horses that back on to the property, and enjoyed the birdlife also. 10/10 recommend."

The location was perfect for us, with quiet and privacy in a magnificent garden, yet not isolated as the main strip of Montville is merely a 5-minute drive away. "We had a wonderful stay. The cottage is so very beautiful. My only note to the hosts would be to be a little clearer to guests that the kitchen doesn't have an oven, just the cooktop. (It was clear there was no microwave, but we were a little surprised there was no oven either). But we had a good adventure using the wood-fired pizza oven instead. Other than that tiny suggestion, we had a very lovely time."

"We needed a dog-friendly home for a weekend away in the area to attend a party. Cottonwood Cottage is very sweet, with fantastic retro styling and a lovely garden. I was a bit taken aback on check in as it was not evident when booking that the cottage is actually a separate dwelling inside the bounds of the owner’s house. "Upon arrival, the cottage was presented as per the photos. The beds are super comfy, the cottage was very clean with lots of books and games to keep you entertained. We enjoyed our stay. The only thing that was a bit annoying is the property is located on a main street and the front bedroom can be a bit noisy. This may not be an issue if you are staying during the weekend, however, during the week the traffic noise can be disruptive to sleep. Recommend earplugs if you're a light sleeper."
