The chalet where everyone finds their own space… and everyone comes back together.
There are chalets that host travellers.
And then there are the ones where you make memories.
Chalet Mont Milo belongs to the second kind.
When we fully renovated it in 2025, we weren't trying to create just another holiday rental. We wanted a real mountain chalet, warm and welcoming, where two or three families can share a week together without ever feeling on top of one another.
Here, everyone enjoys their holiday at their own pace.
The children vanish into the games room. The more active ones head off to ski, cycle or hike. Some take the time to read by the pellet stove, others enjoy the sauna after a day in the mountains.
And in the evening, everyone ends up back together around the big table. You share the day's stories, plan tomorrow's, and more often than not the time slips by without anyone checking the clock.
That's exactly what Chalet Mont Milo was made for.
A real mountain chalet
The chalet sits in Briançon, in the hamlet of Pramorel, at 1,400 metres above sea level.
You get all the quiet of a genuine mountain hamlet while reaching the slopes of Serre Chevalier Vallée in just a 5 minute drive.
The chalet is entirely self-contained. You have 160 m² to yourselves, no immediate neighbours, no shared areas.
It sleeps up to 10 people across five proper bedrooms spread over two levels.
To make a stay with a group comfortable, we focused on the living spaces: a large, bright lounge, a fully equipped kitchen open onto the dining area, two shower rooms, a separate WC, a private sauna, a games room with pool table, table football and air hockey, and a large terrace with panoramic views over the valley and the Grand Aréa.
Rated a 3 star Meublé de Tourisme, Chalet Mont Milo now holds 4.89/5 across 92 guest reviews. But our proudest reward is elsewhere: nearly 30% of our guests come back to stay at the chalet from one year to the next.
Winter at Chalet Mont Milo
In winter, the day begins however each person likes.
Skiers reach the slopes of Serre Chevalier Vallée quickly, by car or with the private Resalp shuttle (on request, with a contribution).
Those who prefer ski touring or snowshoeing can set off straight from the chalet.
Back home, the heated ski room takes the boots, gloves, helmets and skis while some carry on with the sauna or a game of pool.
The chalet then settles into its cosiest mood: the stove giving off a gentle warmth, the children playing, the conversations flowing naturally before dinner.
Summer at Chalet Mont Milo
When the mountain pastures take over from the snow, the pace changes but the spirit stays the same.
The hiking trails start right at the chalet.
Cyclists set off for the legendary passes, the Galibier, the Izoard, the Granon or the Lautaret, before returning to the secure bike garage, part of the Accueil Vélo scheme.
The large terrace becomes the heart of the chalet.
Breakfast facing the Grand Aréa.
Lunch in the shade of the parasol.
Reading on the sun loungers.
An aperitif as the sun goes down.
The view stays with you throughout the day.
A chalet made for being together
When we renovated Chalet Mont Milo, we asked ourselves one simple question: how do you let ten people spend a week together without ever feeling on top of one another?
The answer lies in how the chalet is laid out.
The five bedrooms let everyone keep their own space:
Ground level
Grand Aréa — double bed 160×200
Granon — bunk bed 90×200
Upstairs
Izoard — double bed 160×200
Rochebrune — double bed 160×200 (18 m²)
Lautaret — two single beds 90×200
The games room often brings several generations together around a game of pool, table football or air hockey.
The sauna is an invitation to slow down after an active day.
The open kitchen lets you cook without being cut off from the rest of the group.
And the big table, custom-made in solid acacia wood, naturally draws everyone in. It's often there that meals linger, tomorrow's hikes take shape, and the best memories are made.
Welcome to the Mont Milo experience
For us, welcoming guests is about more than handing over the keys to a chalet.
We like to take the time to talk with our guests before they arrive, so we can suggest a stay that suits them.
Over the years, we've also put together a few services to make your holiday easier:
- Preferential rates at Skimium for ski equipment hire
- Private Resalp shuttle (on request) to reach the slopes of Serre Chevalier Vallée
- A private chef for dinner without leaving the chalet
- Pizza and prepared-meal delivery;
- Recommendations for restaurants, shops and local producers
- Ideas for hikes, cycling routes and activities for every season
We share this advice with the same pleasure as if we were hosting friends.
Our wish is simple: that you make the most of your holiday from the moment you arrive, and that you discover Briançon and Serre Chevalier Vallée the way we've known them all our lives.
We look forward to welcoming you,
Sandrine & Philippe
