The Hideaway

Cozy one bedroom apartment with separate entrance in historic home located on 11 acres. Property abuts a 32 acre nature preserve with easy access to hiking trails. Propane fireplace, outdoor fire pit and private use of the patio and 10 person hot tub upon request. Pet friendly.

The space
The apartment is a private apartment in my home with a shared wall so you may hear some sounds from my family (just me and my two teenage/adult daughters) and pets (who bark when cars enter the driveway) but we try to be conscious of our guests and haven't received a complaint yet! Also, for those of you with multiple guests, there is a queen bed in the bedroom, the daybed in the living room has a trundle and the loveseat pulls out to an additional twin bed. So the living room area can sleep three additional adults for a total of 5. The bathroom, however, is off of the bedroom so guests in the living room area need to access the bedroom to use the bathroom.

Guest access
The main house was built in 1719 and the property was a sheep farm centuries ago. There is a lovely stream that bisects the property and guests are free to explore the property and use all outdoor furniture. The back patio with lounges, fire pit and hot tub are shared space but can be reserved for your private use for a few of $10.00 per hour.

Other things to note
Please be careful taking the cover off the hot tub. It can be folded in half by one person but will take two people to remove the cover. There is a retaining wall behind the hot tub with some loose stones so please be careful and do not remove the cover from that side. It can be removed by standing on the sides of the hot tub and sliding it off toward the retaining wall. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!!
