"Definitely exceeded all of my expectations. This was a quick one night stop for us but I instantly wished for a longer stay. The property is so unique and a breath of fresh air (literally) compared to your average hotel stay. It's the intimate experience of a bed and breakfast, but in what feels like a well appointed, expansive vacation home. It would have taken days to fully experience all the lodge had to offer, so I am already plotting a return visit. The room had a balcony from which we could sit and take in the views. The pool/hot tub and game room were begging to be used. The on-site pub was a cozy retreat. Breakfast was a million miles from the prepackaged continental breakfast you come to expect, with fresh pastries and homemade items. The horse stable is nearby and after visiting it, I only wish there was time for a ride before we left. The couple who manage the lodge were accessible and took a real hands on approach to making you feel welcome. Highly recommend."

"Our room was clean and cozy. Apple Inn provided a grill that my husband promptly put to use sizzling up some steaks. we put the kitchen to use for dinner,desser and breakfast. "

"Our room was acquaint little room, clean kind of fun to be in. We totally enjoyed it. But some others might be expecting a modern style larger room, but not us. We were pleased with what we had. And it’s outside the busy part of Winthrop."

"Enjoyed the older style and the actual physical regular key for our room. The free breakfast was small but good. Hotel is right off the main street so walking to dinner and around town was easy and simple. Only complaint was our AC wasn't working, but it was no big deal and staff made sure to let us know when we went to check in to make sure we were okay with it (it was the only room left). Kept the window open and we were alright. "
