We had a great stay at the Palm (1 night).
Location is excellent, right along the main street facing the water. Several restaurants and shops nearby (including restaurant and bar in the Palm). Nearby activities such as the walk around and up the little mountain, and strolling the promenade. Was about a 10 minute walk from the train station.
Room was clean and spacious. The walk in shower was lovely. In the intro email from the Palm they noted it can be loud some nights due to the bar, but we were there on a Monday night and it was very quiet.
The front desk staff was pleasant, helpful, and kept our luggage for us before we were able to check in.
We would stay here again if ever in the area.
Staff was exceptional. Would like to acknowledge Amelia and the front desk as well as the cleaners.
The location is great, the hotel is clean and restaurant is also very good.
This was such a cute hotel. The staff was super friendly and the pub had great Trad Music, food, and atmosphere. The hotelmis definitely older but the voww of the beach and extra large room more than make up for it!
An amazing weekend away with my partner, amazing room, comfortable bed, incredible views from our room, and we were able to have our pup with us too! The staff for so friendly, we even got cupcakes on our last day! We were unsure about getting food downstairs with some mixed reviews but we couldn’t recommend enough, cocktails were lovely and food was incredible. Super friendly staff in bar and restaurant too, brought us some water for dog, who was able to join us. We can’t wait to book again!
Note, it is very lively on weekends as stated but the hotel provide ear plugs, music goes on til about 3am so if you want quiet you may want to book during week days

Although the property is old and the facility is not upgraded to a standard but the serenity of the sea and courteous staff overshadows the negativities.

Liked: Property conditions & facilities
The hotel room was spacious and beautiful, and had wonderful old world amenities, but in a newly upgraded way. I love the fact that at night you could hear the ocean waves crashing across the street. Additionally, the staff was helpful and super pleasant. What a great place to stay and in a beautiful area!
Very quaint hotel. Dining on site for lunch and dinner; walking distance to coffee shops and other breakfast choices. Lovely, warm and courteous staff. Eager to please! We chose this place as easy to access from Dublin while getting used to left hand side driving and it allowed us easy access to Wicklow area which is beautiful!
The bed in our room could do with an upgrade, both otherwise very pleased with our stay!

Very cute location! Pub & hotel is decorated very cute! They give you cute little cupcakes as a gift! There is no AC on 3rd floor rooms and when we mentioned we were hot, We were promptly given a fan! Wish they had mini fridges & microwaves since we stayed a week. Is a cute & nice old little place!
The palm is in a great central location, beautiful views of the sea and the mountains. Walking distance to all pubs and restaurants, with great food choices around. The rooms are beautifully decorated, comfortable beds and we had a hot tub with our booking couldn’t ask for more! Definitely be back again.
Room was clean, well presented and some nice touches like the Easter egg! Staff were great, thanks to Sebastian and the team for showing us around and the welcome. Will return👍
Nice during the weekdays noisy during the weekends
Too high costs with too few staff: it seems that the hotel’s management is experiencing or experimenting with staff shortages, particularly at reception. No breakfast. No parking (you need to look around, it was problematic during the weekend).
The staff makes miracles: all were attentive and helpful (Amalia is exceptional). But the number of emails before check-in (and even before the check-out) is excessive: when you are on holiday, the last thing you want to do is read all those automatic messages from the hotel – you really need to reduce it.
It was very noisy during the weekend. The staff is honest with you about that – we were informed. After we booked the room already (no cancellation possible). And when I say “noisy” it means that you literally sleep above the open bar with people drinking and laughing until 2am. No noise at the last Sun-Mon night.
The rooms are greatly decorated. Nice embankment to walk or run, a nice beach to swim – but the one in Greystones (not far drive) is better.
