"We had the most wonderful stay at La Petite Mirabelle. Paul and Dawn, our hosts went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our holiday to the full - nothing was too much trouble. The gite itself was cosy, exceptionally clean and well equipped. The swimming pool, with its amazing views and excellent cover, was the best we have ever experienced anywhere. "Although a little difficult to find, this is a beautiful and peaceful house. The pool is large and worked really well for us, we were 4 adults and 4 children aged between 4-9. Plenty of garden space for the kids to run around and a lovely BBQ area. A couple of disappointments, firstly I must point out that some of the pictures online are not that accurate or at least for us. "We had the most wonderful time with our family of 3 generations from New Zealand, Australia and England. The weather was perfect ,the beautiful pool enjoyed by everyone. The forest was enjoyed by us all especially our eldest son from NZ who did the forest walk daily to the Boulangerie for our fresh baguettes and croissants . Michel and Brigette were the perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome . Their property is beautifully maintained and we all agreed that it was a real privilege to holiday...

"We can’t rate the property highly enough - spacious open plan living, comfortable bedrooms, hot water, and lots of outside space. Karine and Olivier were attentive, friendly hosts, patient with our terrible language skills and made every effort to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The village was an easy five minute walk, even with reluctant toddlers, with a fantastic bakery, restaurants and a beautiful paddling spot. So many great day trips possible from this location. Wonderful."

"I had a wonderful stay at Sophie & Craig’s gîte. The thing that made it was the warm welcome from Sophie & Craig. It was January and so, cold, but Sophie would bring me a wheelbarrow full of logs for the wood-burning stove every morning! My dog, Jack, played happily in the garden and it was perfect for him, with lots of walks. All in all, a great stay!"

Voor ons was dit gedeelte van de Dordogne te vlak. we houden van motorrijden en in dit gedeelte miste we de bergen en ook de mooie wandelroutes. Ook was het te warm om dit alles te ondernemen, misschien hadden we meer ondernomen als het wat kouder was. Maar de vrijheid van de accommodatie was geweldig. "This comfortable, well-appointed apartment is within easy walking distance to the cathedral and the historic center of Perigueux. With bedrooms and bathrooms on opposite ends, it would work well for a family or two couples. The apartment is quiet and very secure. We appreciated having a private parking place and direct access to the small park next to the cathedral. The street market in front of the cathedral was a treat. Isabelle was charming and very helpful. We highly recommend this apartment...
