Located in Provence, Mont Ventoux is one of the most famous climbs used in the Tour de France. With a summit at 1911m above sea level it also offers an epic challenge to any cyclist. There are three routes to the top: from Bedoin, from Sault or from Malaucene. The famous 'moonscape' opens out approximately 6km from the summit, the wind and lack of protection making for some tough riding conditions . Although a summit selfie is obligatory after such an epic achievement, this view gives a distinct sense of how far you've come.
