Golfers rest between rounds near the grill or fireside for a game of chess. Fishermen hike down to the lake to our private dock to catch trout for lunch. Families walk through the woods and roast marshmallows over the firepit. Sun-lovers tan on the deck and then lounge in the hot tub...

No need to worry about thin walls or loud neighbors or traffic noises...or people even knowing where you are! Our address is literally off the map, tucked away within 8+ acres, hidden by trees on 3 sides and Lake Taneycomo on the fourth.

Though just 3.5 miles from Hwy 76, 6 miles from Branson Landing and minutes further to all the fun Branson offers, you may never want to leave once you pull in...

Wake-up in your comfy bedroom (each one has a different theme!) to watch the deer in the morning. Warm-up to winter seated fireside by the Lord of the Rings chess set. Take a nature hike with loved ones. Enjoy laughter with family and friends around a grand dining table, over a game of shuffleboard, table bowling, foosball, arcade games, or with the Wii.

Watch the sunset with a panoramic lake view on one of the decks. Relax in the 8 person hot tub or detox in the 2-person sauna before you say, 'good-night.'

And end the day with a cup of your favorite coffee and a great book from Rivendell's house library as you sink into one of our fabulous chaises and chairs.

And if you're still reading...here are five notes for you:

1. Our home is county permit approved with an occupancy up to 20 guests.

2. No amplified music or weddings are permitted because of how sound travels along the lake.

3. This property sits atop a scenic bluff overlooking beautiful Lake Taneycomo, offering breathtaking views from the house and a tranquil escape at the dock below. Guests can access the private dock via a natural wooded trail, but please note that the hike is moderate and may be challenging for individuals with mobility issues or elderly guests. While trickier sections have stairs to assist, the trail includes uneven terrain and is not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers.

The stunning sunset views from the dock are well worth the effort — a peaceful reward after your trek through nature!

4. Our home is now 27 years old and every year we tackle a new project. In 2018, that was a new roof. In 2019, a new heating/air unit. And our focus in 2025 is brand new exterior paint, windows, a full path to the lake, and refreshed decks.

5. Please note that our home is in the WOODS on a LAKE in the OZARKS. Dirt paths and wood stairs weave throughout the 8+ acres but if you're looking for a manicured arboretum, please keep looking. However, if you're up for some hiking, love the outdoors, and aren't bugged by bugs, you'll really enjoy exploring Rivendell's acreage! There's 7 park benches to discover, a creek bed to explore, and in the spring there's a little waterfall to find.
