Collingwood Cottage has been completely renovated in 2020 and is a charming little cottage set in the picture postcard village of Talkin. Stunningly decorated and furnished to a very good standard the open plan living/dining/kitchen area is beautiful with its vaulted ceiling and exposed original beams. The bedroom is just as impressive with its sumptuous bed and bedding which leads on to the modern and contemporary en-suite.
The final piece de resistance is the private and enclosed courtyard with hot tub. Collingwood Cottage is the perfect romantic hideaway.
Talkin is a small village with a well known pub and restaurant only yards from Collingwood Cottage. Set in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Collingwood Cottage is only 3 miles from the pretty market town of Brampton and close to the iconic Hadrian’s Wall, a visit to which is a must for anyone. A trip to the Lake District, Scotland and the Northumbrian coastline are all within easy reach. A fabulous day out iwithin walking distance is Talkin Tarn Country Park with its 65-acre lake and acres of farmland and woodland. You can sail, windsurf, canoe or hire a rowing boat or just take a quiet stroll through the mature woodlands then relax in the tea room with its superb views of the tarn. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 20 yards.
