"When we arrived at The New World Inn the owner met us at our car and even carried our luggage since my husband is disabled. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was not fancy but had good choices. I love oatmeal. And you could make your own waffles. I can’t wait to go back to Barre and stay again. The Inn is being refurbished one room at a time so be patient and know you will get a nice room."

"The hotel surprised us by being very nice. It looks rather ho hum from the outside. The room was clean, comfortable and the beds were good. It was in a quiet location with woods out back. They served warm cookies in the afternoon."

"This is an older building, but clean and well maintained. The AC window units worked very well. The breakfast was tailored to meet our needs and excellent. The staff were friendly, caring and always available, even though summertime has fewer visitors than during the ski season. Highly recommend for the value!"

"Great place, we stopped for a few days while taking a break from hiking the AT. The grounds are amazing, breakfast was delicious, and staff was very accommodating. They even washing our stinky hiking clothes and picked up a pizza for us. Would highly recommend!"
