"Had a lovely stay. Very clèan rooms and comfortable beds. Nice to have 2 en-suite bathrooms. We arrived to find a box of Border biscuits - that was a nice touch. Thanks to the landlord"

"Unfortunately this stay was not enjoyable at all. The place overall is very run down, the bed is an old springy bed with huge "roll together" and so soft you end up touching the base. The air conditioning didn't work, the windows hardly open at all due to security reasons and the room was stifling hot and very stuffy which resulted in next to no sleep. She would have been stunning in her day, but it's long, long gone. Not worth the money."

"Loved the position of the hotel , on the canal so we could walk along the to-path into the centre , which was a short walk . You could see the canal boats go by. "The room was spacious with a good amount of storage whilst the room did not have air conditioning it was cool and a comfortable temperature, which to say it was 30 degrees outside was good. There was a fan available, but we didn't need to use it. Room was clean and the bathroom was acceptably clean. There was however slight mould spots on some of the grouting and sealant in the shower.
