"Maddie (the owner)was there if required and very helpful. Well equipped and quiet place to stay. If you have children there is a vast amount od toys and a toy shed. There are chickens at the end of the garden and love to be fed any scraps you have left. The garden is well kept and very pleasant. I give it 5 stars."

"The location is on the edge of a quiet village and with only subtle sounds of frogs from the pond and whinnies from the horse it was bliss. This was our 2nd stay and would love to come back again. Transport is required to access local shops but the ride out is so lovely it isnt a worry. We stayed for the 80th anniversary of D-Day and found it a good base to stay for the events. "We had a very pleasant stay at this quirky octagonal cottage. It is in a little hamlet up a long lane so was very quiet. The owners house was closer than it seems in the photos but she left us to ourselves unless we needed something. "A member of our family was ill with COVID; I assumed this meant that they would not want us to stay and informed them ahead of time. It was no problem, apparently, she just wantd us to leave the windows open after we left. Not how this works. Did not stay, out of personal responsibility to control infection, but she would have been fine with it. Makes me wonder what other corners they cut here. So - if you stay here, bring cleaning products and carefully disinfect beforehand."

"After not thinking we would be able to holiday due to Covid this was the perfect relaxing retreat. Everything was as we had expected. The log cabin was well equipped and comfortable. The gifts on arrival ( goats cheese , apple juice, jam and cider ) were all lovely and a nice touch. Roaming chickens and cats were an added delight with some eggs given to us in the week. Perfect break."

First Class Treatment of Guests
"My friend and I spent one night at the Holiday Inn near the end of a two-week visit too France. Due to a mmix-up with Hotels.com, the reservation I had intended for June 9-11 was made for June 7-9, so when we arrived it appeared that we would be charged for nights that we had not stayed. Further, while we could stay for the night of June 9, the holiday Inn was fully booked for the night of June 10. The desk clerk quickly found us reservations at another hotel for the night of June 10 and the manager kindly did not charge us for the nights of Jun7-9. The room was large by French standards and it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best offered while we were in different parts of France. I would gladly stay there again."
