"The breakfast was eggs to order and then both hot and cold options. If you are over 5ft 10 watch your head on lower beams, not all of them are padded either! Shower was not as powerful as I would have liked and the complimentary shower toiletries was a shampoo/ body 2 in 1. Good for male, less so for females. Really comfortable bed and air conditioning and heating available in the room - so suits all sleep temperatures."

"Nice hotel for a flying visit. Very clean throughout and helpful welcoming staff. Breakfast was good a nice selection. Plenty of parking. Lovely touch with dove hand soap, body wash and shampoo. Only slight criticism is the beds were a little on the hard side as well as pillows quite thick and hard."

"The hotel is very beautiful, with a lovely view over the countryside. The communal areas are very pleasant, the restaurant, the garden and the room next to the bar are perfect for relaxing and reading. The staff are helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and well-equipped. I had a lovely stay and would recommend the hotel. The dinner menu was also good. The location is a 15–20-minute walk from the town centre. Just bear in mind that it’s at the top of a hill, so some people might find it easier to use a car or taxi. I liked the location as it was still close to town yet peaceful, just as I wanted."

"Stayed in garden flat (only toilet is in the 2nd bedroom, so not very private). However it is level access. Beautiful old building with fab young staff, especially Cain who soeted"
