"Had a great two nights stay...we were given a room upstairs at the back which was nice and quiet..the en suite was a little tight but clean...the bedroom was compact but nicely laid out...the range of teas/coffee including hot chocolate and biscuits are a lovely touch... bathroom range of soap/shampoo/lotions are of good quality...had a great stay.. will be back... Many thanks "

"The room was in a small house called the cottage which was nice with all the facilities we needed. The lady who checked us in was friendly and helpful. The only downside was that we were near the front door, so could hear people coming in out during the evening. It's worth getting there earlier in the day if possibe as it is on street parking with a permit provided at check-in, and there we no spaces left closer than the other end of the street."

"Convenient but road is very noisy for a stay in Southampton for St Marys attendance. Bed was a little uncomfortable for someone who is 6'2" but facilities were clean and safe. Good to have free parking and overall about right value for money."

The staff were friendly and efficient and not only seemed to really care about guests but also about each other - they appeared to have the right sort of rapport with each other, making everything run very smoothly."

"Greeting by staff was a bit muddled as one person started, and one person interupted. Room was okay, view onto green, but was above doorway into pub where people came outside to smoke. Bed was a short double so my feet stuck out of end of bed (I am not over 6 feet in height). Steep stairs to rooms."

"Lovely one night stop over at the Old Vine. We arrived on a sinday and decided to have a sunday roast in the restaurant. Highly recommended the restaurant, food and service was great. Staff are all very knowledgeable, friendly and polite. We were shown up to our room and was supprised at how big it was. Very comfortable and perfect location for a stroll around the town and cathedral. Slight down side was noise fron delivery vehicles early morning but the hotel had provided ear plugs and they...

"The hotel was very convenient and close to the seafront. The room was comfortable and it had a walk-in shower which I needed. I also have difficulty with stairs, so I chose the hotel because it has a lift. It also has plenty of parking and the staff were very friendly. Will stay there again next time I visit the Isle of Wight."

"We were welcomed and shown our room which was very comfortable, especially the beds. It's a lovely pub right in the centre of town and a minute's walk from the ferry. Only one key between the two of us. We're not a couple so may have wanted to go home at different times which would've been awkward. The bathroom layout was weird. The bath was placed under a sloping ceiling so you couldn't stand up for a shower, and the door didn't lock. Nice hot water though."
