"This is an excellent place. We loved everything about it. The host was very responsive and friendly once we arrived. The boat is stocked with the necessities and even has a sauna! It is in an excellent location to walk to shops and restaurants, to catch public transportation, or rent bikes. We loved having a drink on the deck in the evening and watching the boats go by on the canal. "

"Great location for us. It is just on the outskirts of the center which was good for us. If you want to be in the heart of it all then this is not the best spot for you. We loved the deck in the evening having a coffee or beer watching the boats go buy.The steps up and down could be tricky for old or young folks.Would certainly stay here again."

The Houseboat, while a unique experience, was not without its problems. The existing online interior pics do not accurately reflect the current condition of the houseboat. "What a treat to stay on this houseboat on the canal. The early mornings and evenings were especially calm and peaceful. It was definitely a great way to experience Amsterdam. In addition, the host was wonderful, it’s a short walk to public transit, plenty of places to eat nearby, or you may just decide to sit on the deck and watch the world go by. "

"We had an amazing visit to Amsterdam thanks to our HomeAway Houseboat Rental. We were situated exactly where most would prefer, it was very quiet on the water at night. Arie was a very gracious host who always responded quickly on any questions we had, before and during our stay. Lots of special touches that were very much appreciated, like plenty of fresh towels, designer soaps and more. Easy going and helpful. Definitely recommend Arie's houseboat when visiting Amsterdam!"
