"Couldn't resist the name. The hotel was in the perfect location for a short trip in York. It was walkable to everything but still tucked away enough that I didn't have to worry about loud people all night. Fair warning this hotel doesn't have an elevator, only stairs so if you're like me and tend to over pack - you've been warned. That being said staff were super helpful in bringing my luggage up and down the stairs. Would gladly stay here again."

The room was equipped with a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries, which we hadn't expected. The proximity of the room to the road, and being above the bar meant it was noisy, but we were prepared for that. "The room was minimalistic with a wet room bathroom and very comfortable bed with quiet surroundings so had a good nights sleep.The breakfast was cooked fresh to customer’s request. No cereals were offered but fruit juice was on the table when we arrived. Overall good value for money and helpful staff. Flowers outside were welcoming."

"Brilliant place for a short stay, we stayed 1 night and it was lovely the room was very clean and tidy the bed was comfortable there are no draws for clothes but for a short stay it didnt matter. Breakfast was included there was a selection of cereal, toast and cooked breakfast to order which was very nice. They advertise luggage storage and before we checked in they stored our luggage and then took it to our room when the room was ready, that was awesome, but when we asked for luggage storage on our check out we were told we would have to pay.
