Chez Rose is a beautiful 40 m² studio, in an outbuilding of a magnificent Bordeaux apartment (well separated), with a common entrance, located on the 2nd floor of a sumptuous 18th century stone building. In front of the "Fémina" theater, a few steps away from the Sainte Catherine street, all the shops, restaurants and the tramway.

Thanks to its incredible location, you will be in the heart of Bordeaux. This apartment offers you all the comfort, mixing modernity and charm of the old, for an exceptional stay in Bordeaux. At the foot of the Porte Dijeaux street, Place Gambetta, 100 m from the Opera and Sainte Catherine street. It has a double bed and can accommodate two travelers very comfortably.

Accommodation:
Very well equipped, Chez Rose is located on the 2nd floor, accessible by a staircase. You will enjoy all the comfort for an unforgettable stay. This studio offers the following services:
- A nice living room with a double bed, a screen plan and a superb height under ceiling.
- A small open kitchen, with a refrigerator, microwave oven, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and many kitchen utensils. Please note that there is no cooking plate.
- A very nice and spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower and toilet.
For your comfort, you will also have at your disposal, an iron and its table.
Quality sheets, towels and tea towels as well as some coffee capsules are provided and your bed is made upon your arrival.
Of course, Wifi is accessible and free!

Parking advice:
Paying public parking "Les Grands Hommes" or "Saint Christoly" at 200 meters.
The "Grand Théatre" tramway stop is 100 meters away.

A little history:
The Femina Theatre in Bordeaux was founded by Bonneterre and Ulysse Sédard, umbrella manufacturer and director of the Arcachon Casino, who turned it into a showroom and music hall, just like the Alhambra Theatre in Bordeaux.
Transformed into a movie theater in June 1930 by Pathé-Natan, this place remained like that for nearly 50 years, then became again in 1977 thanks to an agreement with the City of Bordeaux, an auditorium where theater, operetta, comedy, dance, classical music and variety shows are played.
The ceiling features a dome painted by Gustave Larée representing the apotheosis of Pierrot, dance and modern music. With its mix of Louis XVI style and Art Deco reminiscences, the Théâtre Femina is still one of the last examples of sumptuous decorations.
This historical richness makes the Femina Theatre a place where the most talented French and international artists perform.

Chez ROSE Great little apartment. Perfect location, 5min walk to tram. No air conditioning or fan in the apartment so it got quite warm. Door to the apartment doesn’t have a lock on it. Host was very responsive and great to deal with

Property has fantastic location. It lacks somethings like drawers to store clothes. These have to be left in cases on floor. The main problem is the fact that there is no lock on the apartment door which is unacceptable. There was an unpleasant incident when the owner knocked on door late at night complaining that we were not locking the outer door of the apartment correctly. We did not even know who this man was and he was rude and unpleasant and this upset us greatly and spoiled the whole experience.

Chez ROSE "First place I’ve booked I couldn’t return. Critical to my travelling is Wifi. I run my company, book travel and watch programmes all requiring internet ( wifi) It simply didn’t work and suggested opening the window, stick the device out the window and connect … then leave the window open …( and attract mosquitos) Close the window lose the connection. It was bad and problematic Four flights of stairs and no lifts so heavy suitcase or multiple cases be prepared. On entering the premises it is dual assess to the the owners apartment . The door to yours does not lock. My first day laying in the bed…someone entered the room said something in French and left. I have no idea who it was . Now on the positive … the bathroom large and clean but the toilet seat was not fixed ( secure). The bed comfy, nice amenities, and location in the heart of the city was perfect. Pictures accurate"

Tout s’est très bien passé, le studio était confortable et calme. Nous n’avions pas compris qu’il s’agissait d’un studio au sein d’un plus grand appartement, avec une entrée commune, puis notre porte à nous qui donne sur la chambre et la salle de bain. Du coup pas moyen de fermer cette partie-là à clé mais nous n’avons pas eu de soucis. Nous avons croisé les hôtes, très sympathique et accueillants

Chez ROSE Had a lovely stay on this warm inviting space, a kind warm welcome and helpuful booklet complete with a map of reccomended spots on our visit. The place was very clean and beautiful and the host was lovely and very friendly. Would definitely book to stay here again and if you havent yet ... what are you waiting for ! Right in the centre of town so you're right by all the fun and exploroation you could need, yet the building somehow is also peacful and quiet, great for nights in aftrr a busy day out, especially for couples.

Chez ROSE "The apartment is located right in the heart of city center. Because the windows are facing to a small courtyard we slept very well there. We loved the room decoration. It is pretty obvious the owner Rosa is an artist. It makes the place very unique. The bed is very comfortable. The only objection we had was the door to hallway can't be locked because the type of door doesn't have it installed. Sometimes a wind draft opened the door and we noticed that when leaving the apartment. Anyway the hallway also for the owner's part is always locked, but not be able to close properly or lock the door felt uncomfortable."

Chez ROSE Un accueil chaleureux, la propriétaire est resté éveillé pour nous souhaiter la bienvenue, malgré que ce soit une agence qui soit en charge de notre arrivé. Chez ROSE "The place is absolutely great, in an old building beautifully decorated. Only downside was that the WiFi wasn't working unless, as showed by the owner, you open the window and use it while staying there, anywhere else in the room wasn't picking up. Someone from the agency was supposed to meet us in front of the building to check-in but no one came, I tried calling the agency but there was no response until the next day. I had to call one of their agents of which I had the number by pure chance. Apparently the owner wanted to check us in and was waiting for us to ring the bell. The owner only speaks French so if you want clear instructions make a request for someone that speaks English to come show you around. Overall the stay was good but the check-in and agency side of things was lacking communication."

Chez ROSE Fantastic little flat in a great location. The team at CocoonR were extremely responsive and helpful. Only issue was a lack of Wi-Fi but that wasn’t an issue for us as we were there to experience the city not hang around too much in the flat!
