Rustic Retreat on Private 5 acres with Trout Stream

For everyone who has ever looked for a chink-log cabin in the woods - You have found it! This 5 bedroom, 3 bath cabin sits perfectly on a private 5 acres overlooking Howards Creek. This property is perfect for all age groups.

From the time you turn off Hwy 194 (only 3 miles to ASU) onto the private bridge over Howards Creek, the property becomes a tranquil retreat and yet so close to town.

You will notice the rock wall backdrop as you drive up the driveway (Plenty of room for several vehicles). As you enter the cabin there is a screened porch with a sectional as well as a gas grill that is permanently connected to a gas line (no need to change out tanks) and a gas burning fireplace. It is cozy with a 4-person high-top table and hanging low-lit lighting for any time of the day.

The cabin is well equipped with a large kitchen to include all items needed for family meals as well as a dining room that sits 8 adults comfortably. The kitchen has been updated with new appliances and is fully stocked for your needs. The living room has a gas burning fireplace so no need to cut wood. The staircase, mantel and most furniture have been custom made by a local artist.

On the main level there are 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Bedroom 1 has a king size custom bed with new mattress. There is a full bathroom in this suite and is decorated in a deer theme. Bedroom 2 (also on main level) has a queen custom made cedar bed and is decorated in a bear theme.
As you make your way up the staircase, you will find 3 more bedrooms as well as a full bathroom with tile shower. Ready for some fun - Upstairs boasts a game room to include a pool table, ping-pong table, Pac-Man video game and 9 foot shuffle-board game.

The front porch sits facing Howards Creek and you can often see deer or other forest animals roaming the property. You will find custom made cedar rockers on the front porch and the private 7 person hot-tub which is located under a gazabo and offers mood lighting.

Private hiking trails over the 5-acres and along the stocked trout stream offer 2 fire pits (1 at the home and 1 by the stream).
Furry Friends are welcome with deposit only. Please email and have all pets accounted for prior to renting.

Great spot.
Stayed at this beautiful cabin with my family for a week. Had a blast! There was a couple small issues but the owners were all over it and had it fixed same day. We were a little too early for the fish but enjoyed the creek everyday. Overall a great experience.

Great location!
Enjoyed this close to town mountain home. The owner was easy to communicate with and made us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend! Our group of 8 had plenty of space and things to do. Game room for the rainy afternoon and taking a walk down the creek in front of the house once it stopped.

Family ski vacation
We really enjoyed our stay here for our vacation. Our family of 11 (ages 2-58) were comfortable for our week stay. It was a 30 minute drive to a lot of the activities we did (sugar mountain, hawksnest, grandfather mountain, mountain coaster, trout fishing/ gem mining), but we don’t mind a little drive. Hosts were quick to respond to any questions, and very polite. Creek and fire pits were cool. Loved the little enclosure for the hot tub. Driveway fit 3 cars just fine. Cons: The shower in the master was kinda dirty/ moldy. And couldn’t get the indoor firepit on the side porch to work. But all in all wasn’t a big deal for us. Loved the house and location. Will definitely save for next family vacation to the area.
