Friendly hostel for a good price

The hostel is nice and the staff very friendly. The limited check-in times (16.00-20.00) were not so convenient for me, but other than that I can recommend the place. Individual power outlets next to the beds would have been nice.

I stayed here for two nights while cycling around watching England at the Euros. It is a very convenient hostel in Bonn’s old city centre. The staff are excellent: they even helped with some bike repairs and lent me some tools. There is also a good kitchen and common area.

Preiswerte Unterkunft, aber Verbesserungspotenzial

Die Unterkunft war für den Preis ok, im Zimmer hat ein Tisch gefehlt, auch ein Kleiderschrank wäre praktischer gewesen als die beiden kleinen Schränke. Lärm kam sowohl von draußen als auch aus dem Haus (lautes Türschlagen in der Nacht). Schade war auch, dass die Rezeption vorher nicht tel. erreichbar war und kein Late-Check-In möglich war, auch kein Service an der Rezeption (Getränke) nach 20 Uhr.

I basically requested a double room as that was available at the time but, I was down graded to a single twin bedded room because I was single. The room was never cleaned during my 3 night stay. The host was very rude and gave me a hard time when I wanted a coffee as she saw that I bought some food to have later but I had to go outside nonetheless. I was not trusted even though I said I'm eating the food later. You are treated like a school kid. Too many rules to the point that you do not feel welcomed. No breakfast available even though I was preparded to pay. You also get fined if you do not use their linen. Will never go back there again.
