Hickory Hill Mountaintop charming family friendly quiet very private lake view

Beautiful, nicely furnished, centrally heated and air- conditioned, ( Geo-Thermal) Private home on 44 acres with views of Lake George and the distant mountains of Vermont . Perfect for family reunions and business retreats. Swim in Lake George from the sandy beaches of Veterans Park or Rogers Park in town just 2 miles down the hill.
Huge, very well equipped kitchen with new stove that includes air fry for those large trays of chicken wings.
Coffee corner in kitchen with combination Keurig or drip coffee, electric tea pot and coffee grinder plus a drawer full of assorted K cups and sugar and creamer packets .
Large 50" flat screenTV in Living room upstairs and 40" in family room downstairs plus flat screen TV in master bedroom. 2 Queen beds in master, 2 twins in each of the other 4 bedrooms plus 1 twin in family room and a bunk over double futon for overflow. Gates on all the stairs to protect the children. 2 cribs and 2 toddler beds plus 3 pack-n-plays and 2 high chairs.
New extra 20 cube refrigerator in the garage.

Enjoy the BBQ on the deck while the children play games, basketball , CORN HOLE and soccer or badminton on the lawn. If it rains there's ping pong room plus a pool table and foosball table in the game room with a bar and extra refrigerator…. and always a quiet corner for reading...

A circular pond stone fire pit in the backyard is a great gathering place for roasting marshmallows in the evening.... the true mountain experience with all the fun and beauty that Lake George has to offer.

Easy Hiking trail marked with orange tape starts at the woods behind the wood shed and goes to the top of the mountain behind the house... all on my 44 acres. At the top, there’s a beautiful view to the west looking over to Cat and Thomas mountains on state lands. To hike to Cat and Thomas mountains there’s a trail head and parking lot just 5 driveways down the street before Edgecomb Pond.


Lake George offers many activities . There are Boat or jet ski rentals and parasailing at Chic's Marina or rent a canoe or kayak from Lake George Kayak right in town. You can get on the Mohican Steam ship from the town dock and tour the lake. Or take other steamships from Lake George Village 9 miles to the south at the end of the lake.

Great Escape is 20 minutes to the south and Adirondack Extreme, a rope course in the trees, is just a few minutes down the road. In winter we are just 30 minutes from skiing at Gore Mt. And just 20 minutes from West Mt.

Amazing family weekend in the most Perfect house. Large functional kitchen, big dining room tables so we could all share meals, well equipped games/toys for toddler, plenty of playpens/high chairs for baby. Wonderful location and easy ride to Bolton landing. Clean and welcoming. Most stunning views of thick plush forest and lake. Most definitely saving this home for future trips!!

My wife and I made a last minute decision to attend a wedding reception in Bolton, and found this great house! There is a ton of room and things to keep your family entertained, but it’s close enough to town and great hiking trails that it’s easy to spend the whole day out and about. We plan to come back with family and fully utilize the property!

We had an amazing time staying in this beautiful house. There is so much room for many families and it is fully equipped! The owner even stocks up the toilet paper, paper towels, foil, zip locks, garbage bags, you name it! Great location and super private!

Property was clean and in great shape. Plenty of room for the 3 families that stayed there. Really nice game room in the garage and a great fireplace upstairs. As a bonus you will see plenty of the owner’s (Joyce) paintings throughout the house! I would rent again.

Large house very accommodating. The downstairs gets cold and the wood stove helps, but it's chilly at night! Beautiful view and plenty of room for a crowd! We will definitely be back!! Need more than twin beds though!

The property provided multiple spaces for gathering our large extended three(3) family, four(4) generation clan (deck for meals, campfire circle, game rooms). This property is fantastic. It is all that the description says it is and more. We loved sitting on the deck looking out onto the beautiful property and the lake and mountains beyond. I have rented many houses and this house has one of the larger and well organized kitchens that I've seen. I was there with my grandkids

This home is so beautiful and it was the right place for our family getaway. Very clean and you feel at home as soon as you walked in the door. Kitchen was large and stocked with everything you would need and more. Lots of games and the pool table,ping pong table and foosball, was Soo fun. The owner Joyce was very good at communicating when we had any questions. We made some wonderful family memories. Would definitely stay again.

The photos on the app do not do this place justice. It was even better than we had expected. Perfect for families with young children and prefect for adults too. Anywhere you go on the property there’s enough seating for everyone. 10 minutes from the town of Bolton and the water. I would love to book this location again.

Large property with plenty of room. No frills, but overall clean and spacious and all of our needs were met. House had a large, well stocked kitchen, plenty of seating and sleeping room for all. We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Joyce’s property. There is more than enough room to host a large group and there’s plenty of amenities to occupy everyone. The only downside I’d say is the rental only came with one key. When hosting large groups, more than one key, or a keypad, would be easier. The only thing missing from this property to make it perfect would be a hot tub. The deck and the view with a hot tub would be amazing!

Great for summer, early fall visits, very close to lake George and grocery etc. The first floor could get cold in the winter as it did in fall (relative to the second floor). Having the private trail on the property is great for early mornings and the fire place in the backyard for evenings. The ping pong table and snooker were great especially on a rainy day. Would recommend to groups up to 15 people. The host was very prompt with our inquiries and offered to come by if needed to help out, good experience overall!

Stayed an extended weekend with 9 guests total. House was more than well equipped for us and could have easily fit 4-5 more people comfortably. Plenty of seating for everyone and multiple areas to hang out. The back porch overlooking the lake was our favorite place to relax. Great location close to Bolton Landing and 10 mins from the lake while still being a secluded area with no one to bother you. Joyce was very responsive and easy to work with on arrival and departure times. Would definitely stay in this house again.

We were a group of 14 and were there to celebrate my wife's 75th birthday. Our group included adults, teens and little ones. And as others have mentioned, this is a big and beautiful house that includes plenty of room as well as toys, games and activities for all. There are also 2 kid friendly beaches and some excellent restaurants just 5 or 6 minutes away. We especially liked the family room where the teens had a place of their own for relaxing and playing video games on the 40 inch TV with their Xbox connected. And we couldn't have asked for a better host. We had a few questions before and during our stay and we always received friendly, helpful and prompt replies. Thank you Joyce! We all had a great time and always felt at home in your wonderful house.
