There is a beach chair rental and a great fish snack bar. Boltenhagen itself is the second oldest Baltic Sea resort in Mecklenburg. It has a bathing beach that is more than 4.5 km long. In the early evening people meet on the promenade or on the 290 m long pier. Activities nearby: Excursion boats depart from the pier in Boltenhagen and head for the island of Poel, Wismar and various places on the Schleswig-Holstein coast. In the Butterfly Park Klütz you can marvel at 140 different species of tropical butterflies. Due to the large free-flight hall with the lush tropical flora, a visit is independent of the weather.
