Fox Kit Cottage offers an exciting ocean experience in sumptuous comfort. As you scroll through the pictures you will see there is nothing in Bodega Bay like it. Well-appointed, it has two bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed, the other with two twin beds, and one bathroom. It is perfect for a romantic getaway or a vacation for a small family.

With its remodel in 2011and further enhancements in 2018, the cottage continues as an upscale retreat for its owners and guests. Sitting above Wright’s Beach, views dominate from nearly every room, and intense ocean scenes are customary. From the beautifully designed deck and spa, you will relax, unwind, and feel what the power of the sea can do for your soul.

The ocean is not the only attraction. There is wildlife everywhere. Birds, whales, and fox (the cottage’s namesake) are just a sampling. From two short paths – Monterey Pine Path, and Bluff Path, you will enjoy the coastal landscape and incredible views. The spacious lot hosts a majestic, intricately intertwined, 40-year old Monterey Pine tree, with a path under its canopy and a stone bench to sit and admire natural arbor artistry. The Bluff Path takes you down to a bench amongst the freshwater springs, flowering foliage, with the vast ocean below.

Furnishings reflect a commitment to clean contemporary design, local art, and attention to detail. Amenities include quality bedding, thick bath towels and robes, and natural toiletries, setting this home apart from others. Foxkit cottage was very welcoming, relaxing, and perfectly curated to be both beautiful and comfortable. The hosts thought of everything that would be needed to make this little oasis a home away from home. Now, the total showstopper was having the majestic ocean as the backdrop to such a lovely home. We could not get enough of the sound of the crashing waves, and the hot tub…icing on the cake! We had an absolutely wonderful time connecting as a family. We definitely plan to book again.

Everything I wanted for a quick solo retreat. The home was spotless, well-appointed, cozy. The bed was comfortable, and the linens were fresh and new. The show-stopper is the view, of course, and the hot tub is the cherry on top. Highly recommend

Stayed here for our 10th wedding anniversary. We loved it. Close to town and Bodega Head trails was breathtaking. We loved the hot tub! The views of the sunset and stars while enjoying the spa were worth the trip. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with spectacular views, this is the spot!!!

The house location and view were fantastic. The appliances and sinks and faucets were all very nice. I have never encountered pop out electrical receptacles before. There are some low ceilings in the bathroom, kids bedroom and the television room. But these are easily managed. The morning of our 3rd day we had ants on the counter next to the sink. Interesting, because there was never any food there. But they were quickly dispatched. The hot tub was fantastic. What a view overlooking the beach. I will definitely be returning to this house for another stay.

We normally stay in Santa Cruz but I think we liked Bodega Bay better. The house was beautiful and right on the beach. Beautiful views and we were able to hear the ocean from our bedroom. Property was clean and beautiful.

It was amazing, the property was as advertised. The only hiccup was when we arrived the property was not ready. A cleaning crew arrived but thought we were arriving the following day so we left for a couple of hours while they cleaned the property. With that being said I would highly recommend this location. Sitting in the hot tub looking at the ocean was breathtaking. I would definitely stay there again!

Incredible home with spectacular views, fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Conveniently located next to a campground where our close friends were also staying. Can't wait to book another trip!! This will definitely become an annual trip.
