PICK'S RIVERSIDE RETREAT - 2 Bedroom plus Loft Riverside Retreat on the Upper Toccoa River

PICK's RIVERSIDE RETREAT RIVERSIDE - Pick's Riverside Retreat is located in the heart of the Aska Adventure Area on the sparkling Toccoa River, this cabin is just across the river from the Chattahoochee National Forest where you are surrounded by nature at its' best. The cabin is tastefully decorated with a fishing motive throughout. 2 Bedrooms and 2 Baths and a loft bedroom provides extra sleeping with two twin beds. Enjoy a King size bed in the master and a Queen Size bed in the second bedroom both rooms have tv's. If you have groups or a family with children in the second bedroom there is also a day bed which provides enough room for up to 7 guests. Just a short walk down the driveway of the cabin brings you to 225 feet of private river frontage where you will be able to Trout Fish, Swim or even Tube down the river without ever having to leave the cabin area. There is also a Screened Gazebo with a picnic table and chairs provided where you can enjoy a special meal right by the river. Enjoy the Firepit, after a day of river fun you can enjoy a roaring fire and roast marshmallows or make s'mores while you listen to the sounds of the rushing river. Cook up your favorite Steak or Hamburger on the propane grill provided. Don't wait make your reservation today for the Wonderful River Retreat.

Beautiful Cabin

Beautiful cabin! My only complaint is that we were overcharged for having more than 4 guests even tho the cabin had 3 bedrooms and specifically says it sleeps 6 to 8 and we only had 5 guests.

Breathtaking view

Such a fantastic getaway for the family. Our kids (tech-aholics, can't leave there video games), spent 90% of their time outside, it was refreshing to see. The property is close to town, which we highly recommend visiting. Can't wait to come back!

Dated, nice location

Beds are like sleeping on cement. Bugs everywhere but manager had it cleaned after calling. Bring a bed topper to save your hips & back!!!Most uncomfortable beds i have ever slept on.

Great weekend getaway

This was an awesome weekend getaway for my friend annual girls trip. Beautiful views and easy to get down to the water to relax. We’ve stayed in previous cabins that were a little scary and didn’t feel that was with this one. The rental company sent great communication and we had everything we needed for check in before check in time which was great due to spotty service in the mountains. Highly recommend and would stay there again.

What a beautiful place. Serine and peaceful!

The cabin was beautiful and the decor was absolutely stunning. My only complaint was the master bed mattress needs a topper or to be replaced….. it’s not comfortable. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and we will be booking again in the future. The outdoor accommodations were fantastic. The view is out of this world!

Beautiful Cabin

This was a great property. We had zero problems with the rental company and the staff was quick to answer any questions we had with challenges that came up with the listing site. I will definitely go directly with the rental company next time. They are awesome:)

Great location for river experience.

This property is right across dirt road from river. The river sound & view are worthy. Went early Feb. & there were no fish. Was told to fish, come in late spring best. We will go back. Nice decor & very clean. Very enjoyable spot. Relaxed with fire place & sound of river.

Great overall location

The cabin itself was gorgeous, however the bathrooms were not clean, there was someone else's hair all over the downstairs shower and the towels were damp like they had been used. I had to clean the bathrooms upon arrival. The beds were also sinking. Other than that it was nice.

Unfortunate choice

We dont usually write less than good reviews after a staying on a property, but this house had several major issues. The location and scenery were spectacular, but please be aware of these major issues: - The day of entering the house was extremely hot at a temperature of 80F, very uncomfortable if arriving late since sleeping on this heat is an issue with little ones. -The beds were so old and uncomfortable we ALL developed major lower back pains that severely limited our activities during our stay. -The bedding and towels smelled musty and humid, and felt very harsh, the smell was the worse, like they had not been properly washed. -The overall cleanliness of the house was very poor, with heavy dust and old dirt below beds, ceiling, corners etc. - One of the grilling gas tanks was empty upon arrival, and the second ran out after grilling just once so we had to use alternative methods to cook on a pouring rain since we were unable to replace the tanks.For the price of this house we would have expected at least clean and odorless towels and bedding sheets, as well as properly filled gas tanks. Overall wont recommend

A nice vacation

We had a nice stay. The host is very responsive with communication and the check-in/check-out process was easy. You can tell the host has done this more than a few times, as they have very detailed communication for everything. I gave it four stars instead of five for a few reasons. We lost power three separate times during our six day stay, and the longest it was out was close to 24 hours. Because of that, we lost a lot of our food we had purchased and the kiddos did get a little restless once when they just wanted to chill and watch some tv. Other properties close by had home generators as backups and I think that would be a wise investment given the fact we lost power multiple times. Additionally, the hot tub never really worked, so that was unfortunate as well. Lastly, if you plan to do some cooking rather than eating out, I would recommend bringing your own chef knives. They have a lot of cooking ware all of which are fine, but the knives are insanely dull from overuse. Like, so dull they're dangerous. Other than that, we had a great stay. The property is beautiful and the price is fair. The river is amazing, and the firepit and screened-in porch right next to the river are very nice.

Great place to relax!

We had a great stay. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing week. The view was beautiful and we loved sitting down by the water. We tubed down the river one afternoon and it was so much fun. We also went to Lake Blue Ridge for a day and rented a boat. It was the best part of the trip! There are lots of comments about the driveway. It is no exaggeration that it is VERY steep and once you pull in it's really hard to turn around to get your car out of the driveway. We were prepared based on reviews and we baked into the driveway to make it easier to get out (it's a tight squeeze though!!!). There is room to park down near the river right in front of the house if you don't want to deal with the driveway. You do have to walk down the driveway to sit by the river. If you have anyone with mobility issues it would be difficult for them. Only two negatives: 1) as other reviews have said the beds are very hard and 2) After the third day the hot tub had a very musty smell. To the point that it took multiple washes to get the smell out of our bathing suits when we got home. We did not contact anyone about it. I'm sure management could have sent someone out to add more chlorine. Still a wonderful trip, great house, and we would definitely book it again!

Would not stay here again

The cabin was located in a nice and quiet area. The view was beautiful. The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed. Our kids loved the loft and foosball table. The driveway is steep going up but levels off at the top; not a big deal. What was disappointing was the fact that the cabin was not clean. We had assumed the cabin would had been cleaned prior to our stay, and there is a $140 cleaning fee. There is no way cleaning was done prior to our stay; there were clean sheets and towels. The kitchen countertops were sticky, and there was food on the floor. The ceiling fans were filthy. There was a thick coating of dust on the fans. If we could post the pictures with this review, we would, but there is no option to upload photos. Moving on, there were also cobwebs in the doorways. Let us say it again- there is no way cleaning was done prior to our stay. We spoke to the manager (pretty sure her name was Mary Jo) at Neveah Cabins after our first night (since the office was closed the day we arrived) about how dirty the cabin was and suggested they hire a new cleaning lady. She had no real interest or care about our concerns as to whether the cabin was really cleaned prior to our arrival; yes, we even showed pictures of the fan. Her response was “we only clean the fans in the Spring.” She continued to say that the fans should just be left on so that no one can see what we saw. Needless to say, we ended up cleaning the fan in the room we slept in; we sleep with a fan on at night- we couldn’t stomach using the fan as filthy as it was. Lastly, the reviews about the king-size bed being uncomfortable are very true. That bed is perhaps, no, it is the worst bed we have ever slept on. We would definitely visit Blue Ridge again, BUT we would NEVER stay at this cabin again or any cabin managed by Neveah Cabin Rental of Blue Ridge. They need to learn to listen to customers as well as clean their cabins appropriately. We are in the middle of a pandemic, so you would think they would be more understanding of why families would want to arrive to a clean cabin. Knowing that we had to pay $140 to get it cleaned when we didn’t have a clean cabin didn’t sit right with us because we know they weren’t going to clean it based on our observations and experiences. Lastly, some advice for the owner- 1) find a new company to manage and rent out your cabin, and 2) hire a cleaning crew who will actually clean the cabin.
