We loved the cabin experience. Enjoyed a nice dinner at a nearby restaurant, then a nice fire back at the cabin in the fire pit. My granddaughter enjoyed one of the hammocks. Nice, cool weather. Having a coffee maker and Keurig was a nice extra. Host was kind and quick to reply. Enjoyed coffee on the screened in porch the next morning, listening to nature.
Really great little cabin with lots of charm. Plenty of room for our group of 5, and thoughtfully set up for guests of all ages. The fire pit area in the woods had a path that was illuminated with solar lights which was a really nice touch, and the whole property was spacious and private. Looking forward to our next stay.

Cozy remote cabin
It’s a really cool place that is perfect get away spot. The cabin is in great shape and on a cool plot. The only downside is the neighbors down the hill have a pack of hunting dogs that can really get a howl going. Otherwise a perfect cabin in a beautiful area, will definitely try to visit again.
Unbelievable experience I had last weekend! I stayed in this cabin for 2 days and wish I rented it the whole week. It’s completely furnished with dishes, all appliances, coffee maker, Keurig coffee maker, big screen tv, WI-FI, big beds on the bottom floor and top floor, twin beds for guests as well on the top floor, and much more! Also, I had great reception way up here in the mountains. Text messages went through and I could also work on my laptop when I needed to. The wildlife was another reason I will rent this cabin again! A great Horned Owl was gliding around branch to beach Saturday night. It was awesome to see it!
Thank you, Lisa, for an awesome weekend

Drafty
We loved that the house was off the beaten path, but it was very drafty. In the bedroom downstairs, the door leading to the porch had a huge gap. This let in an extremely cold draft. We did our best to plug the gap with one of the blankets provided, but the room and floor still remained cold. Also, very few of the windows have blinds, so you have little to no privacy. That wouldn’t be a problem if there weren’t neighbors living so close. The location is great though. Far enough out that it feels authentic, but close enough to civilization. Lots of trails and cool places to visit in the nearby area.

A quirky A-frame with lots of character!
First, the house is off the beaten path. As my family and I were arriving, we questioned if we entered the right address. Our Apple Maps told us we arrived and there was no house, so continue driving up the hill and it’s on the right. You enter through the kitchen, which is a slight squeeze due to the kitchen arrangement. Once you enter, you continue to walk through to your left where you enter the dining room, and continue back towards the open living room. This is the main floor and middle level. Upstairs is quite cute for small children and large families - it includes it’s own private porch, two two beds (in the game room) and then another private room with a queen bed. Back on the Main Level includes the full bathroom - watch your head - it’s not meant for extremely tall or large people as it’s quite tight. Although the lightning above the mirror is perfect for applying makeup. Downstairs is the main bedroom with the King-size bed. Downstairs/Lower Level also includes a half bath. This makes showering and getting ready a small battle as you have to walk up and down the narrow steep steps for your things. The reason we are giving 4-stars is because there is no access to a washer/dryer. Although we did notice a hook up in the downstairs bathroom, which would have been HIGHLY convenient for our family of three. We came home with loads of laundry - not ideal for returning home mid-week. Vacasa was helpful when learning how to Exit the home/lock-up as we had to contact our first night there because we were unsure how to lock up with the code box. The lady was extremely helpful. Downtown Blue Ridge is approx. 25 min away traveling on Aska Rd., which is quite the trek each day, totaling almost an hour on the road, after traveling to visit already. You have to take your time and drive slowly down the windy, mountain road. Being that our trip was intended for visiting Blue Ridge, it was a small disappointment to travel each way when wanting to go to town (Walmart, Ingles, downtown, restaurants, etc.) because there is NOTHING around! Lastly, in regards to being pet-friendly, we quite enjoyed being able to bring our furry family member along. There was already two dog bowls available, which was a nice surprise. As for returning, I cannot say we would due to the type of experience we were looking for. Although, if you’re looking for an in-the-woods, let’s not go anywhere, it’s perfect! The campfire was a huge hit for my little boy, but it is slightly away from the house, so didn’t want him to wander alone. Overall, it was quite the adventure and we appreciated the stay!
We stayed here for a birthday trip for our son. The location was great. The property was wonderful. We all had an absolutely wonderful time.

Quaint A-frame cabin
The cabin is exactly what the pictures capture. It was on a quiet street that felt very private. There was plenty of room for the 3 adults in our group. I would definitely rent again.
The cabin was as described and it was nice a little quirky but nice. It had enough beds and baths for our family trip for my daughter's 18th birthday. The cabin is in a quite location but there is a store 4 minutes away that has great food and where you can get items for your stay. The directions say you may lose GPS to locate the cabin but I never did so it was very easy to find. We would stay again as the price was great for what you get from the cabin. Stairs are a little steep going up to the loft and down to the main bedroom but we never had any issues. Very cute private and definitely nice. The only thing that's missing is a dryer for wet clothes doing river activities.

Quirky Cabin
This quirky cabin has 3 levels with narrow, steep stairs. It is comfortable and has everything you need to relax, cook meals, and hang out. The main restaurants and stores are about 20 or more minutes away so make sure you prepare ahead of time for that. We enjoyed our stay.

Be mindful of the first driveway; the ground is soft. However, it improves at the second one, which is just a few feet ahead."

Decent place, great location, minor updates needed
Overall, we had the essentials, no frills. Pots and pans need replaced, and one of the comforters had old stains on it from use so that should definitely be changed out. Nothing extravagant, but the location makes up for what it was missing inside.

needs small repairs
The door leading down the narrow and slippery stairs the handle came off causing her to fall down the stairs. She hurt her back and her butt. We had to cancel all the hikes and sightseeing.
