The first thing you notice is the quiet. Then the view: layer after layer of Blue Ridge mountains unfolding past the tree line, glowing gold as the sun slips behind them. You are standing on the wrap-around porch of a three-story black-timber cabin, coffee in hand, and the whole valley feels like it belongs to you. Inside, a wood fire is already crackling. Below, a hot tub steams, a sauna warms, and the theater is cued up. This is where the week finally slows down and everyone exhales at once.
About This Space
Grin and Bear It is a three-story cabin built for togetherness - room for ten across four bedrooms, two full master suites, and a walk-out basement made for late nights. Every floor has its own reason to linger.
MAIN FLOOR - A bright, open living room is anchored by a wood-burning fireplace, big windows framing the ridgeline, and a 65" smart TV. The fully equipped kitchen has stainless appliances, a gas range, and an island with four bar stools. Just off the living room, the main-floor master sleeps two on a brand-new king bed and opens through double doors onto the porch. Its spa-style ensuite pairs a deep soaking tub with dual vanities and a separate walk-in shower. A half bath, pantry, and in-unit washer and dryer complete the level, with a crib and high chair ready for little ones.
UPSTAIRS - The second master suite claims the best views in the house. A king bed faces two private decks - one for sunrise coffee, one for sunset wine - and the ensuite mirrors the main floor with a soaking tub, dual sinks, and a separate shower. Outside it, a sunny loft holds a twin daybed with a pull-out twin trundle.
WALK-OUT BASEMENT - The floor guests rave about. A media room brings a true theater with surround sound, a pool table, arcade games, and a wet bar with a wine fridge. Two more bedrooms sit down here: a queen room and a bunk room with a full bed below and a twin above. A newly upgraded bath features a rainfall shower and a private cedar SAUNA. When muscles are sore from the trails, slip through the french doors to the private hot tub steaming under the stars. Outside, a fire pit, gas grill, and porches on every level keep the mountain air close.

House Rules
We keep the rules simple so everyone can relax. Quiet hours run from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM nightly - the neighborhood strictly enforces this, and any noise complaint carries a $500 fine that would be passed along, so please keep the volume gentle after 10. Well-behaved pets are warmly welcome; just ask us first. Check-in is after 4:00 PM and checkout is by 10:00 AM. Please note we do not host local guests seeking an event or party venue. Firewood is not provided, so plan to bring your own for the fireplace and fire pit - we are happy to share a local supplier.
