"Comfortable room for 2 adults and 2 children which met our expectations. Unfortunately we arrived late and left early so it was only a brief visit but what we did experience (bar, bed and breakfast) was all very good! In fact breakfast was very, very good!! It was a shame we missed the restaurant as the menu looked delicious, the staff at the hotel suggested alternatives (local pizza delivery service) but at that stage after a long drive we were just happy to have a drink and some bar snacks (crisps) before getting an early(ish) night for the following days!"

"Had a conference for the weekend and it was ideal to stay at the same place. The lunch options were good. The buildings/rooms are a little dated, and given the reason for my stay were fine. I wouldn't book to stay for a relaxing weekend where I'd be making more use of the room"

"Really nice 48 hours at Horwood House, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming - we have a young child so we were keen to make sure that we got two rooms that were conjoining, which they dealt with superbly. The rooms were big and comfortable, and the grounds were beautiful. Was great to get out and walk around on a beautiful day. The food was good, with prices being comparable to most hotel restaurants. Good, friendly service. The gym was a little disapointing - just a small room tucked away, but the pool and the spa facilities were great. Next time we visit the area, we'd re-book"

"Enjoyed a 2 night dinner bed and breakfast deal which represented incredible value for money. The staff throughout the hotel were polite and welcoming, the room was a good size, and patio doors onto grass was just what we had asked for to enjoy the good weather. Whilst the room felt a little tired, it was comfortable and functional. The restaurant staff were incredibly polite and professional, and the inclusive 3 courses much better than expected. Breakfast was comprehensive also with full and continental offerings. The pool was warm and facilities looked comprehensive, if not all used. Views to the golf course were stunning, and the driving range offered free loan of clubs for the range. Overall great value package and enjoyable stay."

"This is a beautiful hotel and the room was also lovely unfortunately our tv had suddenly had no signal and we could not watch the movie we started to watch when we came back to the room late or the morning news as it was still not working. Reported to the reception who apologised but this was not up to the standard as it should be for stunning hotel like this. "
