Good location, good pricing, clean house, well equipped. P.s put some handles on your cupboards as the push to open is annoying .

Great little house/cottage in a very quiet street. We loved the fireplace but also appreciated the split system heater to help warm things up before getting the fire started. The bathroom is very cold, it could do with a heat lamp on the ceiling in there. The kitchen was well stocked and the bed was comfortable. The deck is large and inviting but it was too cold and wet for us to sit outside. We would happily stay there again.

Tranquil place

The house and was very cosy and cute, old country style. Overall it was nice house but the day we stayed at was very hot and without air con, we struggled with heat and was hard to sleep.

Amazing little cottage and so private ! Loved it

Winter weekend getaway was amazing. The cottage was fully set up and we had the most amazing 2 nights. Plus it snowed 4 times :) Will definitely be back

Extremely comfortable

Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water and handy location. Would have liked a few more kitchen items to make it perfect eg jug to put water in the fridge to cool.

Beautiful property

The place was stunning, a great lounge space and a cosy bedroom. The backyard is amazing to walk around and full of kindling if you do buy fire wood for the fire place (highly recommended if going in winter). Only downfall is that you don't get fire wood and you visit when it's cold, there are no curtains for windows to keep the lounge warm. Definitely bring slippers for the tiles in the bathroom/toilet and soap (not provided). Otherwise, it's a perfectly romantic weekend away, super close to the town and lots of view points of Blackheath/the rest of the blue mountains. Wish the time lasted longer!

Perfect Getaway

Close enough to shops but feels like you're away from it all. Short drive to Govett's Leap which was amazing. Beautiful decor. Lovely fireplace. It all made for the ultimate romantic getaway.

This place is a great place for a couple to wind down and to escape from the stresses of work life..

This place is a great place for a couple to wind down and to escape from the stresses of work life... especially in the winter! My girlfriend and I visited for 3 nights in the winter of '13 and absolutely loved it and wished we had stayed longer. The slow combustion fireplace keeps the entire house warm and cosy (despite it raining the entire length of our stay). There is an extensive artistic contrast of postmodernity throughout the house, mixing and collaborating vintage furniture with sparks of modern elegance. Firewood and kindling could be delivered or bought from the nearest petrol station, just roughly 200 meters away for a reasonably low price. Fresh produce, meat and literally every other everyday grocery could be found within the small yet bubbly town of Blackheath,just a 5 minute walk from this property. There are also a wide range of nearby restaurants and diners to eat out. The property is a 10 minute drive to the Govetts Leap Lookout, overlooking a the Majestic Grose Valley where you can enjoy a nice day of bushwalking, intertwining through nature's fingertips. I would definitely recommend this property to a couple looking for a little weekend retreat or a winter vacation. The only thing I regret is bringing too much from home and not staying longer... everything that you need to cook and clean with is literally already there. Oh.. and bring a pair of slippers.. the tiles in the bathroom and floorboards get a little 'icey' when the fireplace is out.
