"The owners are spectacular! Communication was prompt and great. Wonderful experience catching seafood from the docks. We loved sitting on the screened in porch. It was perfect for our dog. The area is beautiful and loved learning about the local ecosystem. Ate at the old school diner which was a 5 star experience and explored the Harris neck nature trail. I would love to come back once or twice annually. Can’t wait to be back!"

"One of the best Comfort Inns that I have stayed in. Very well kept and the breakfast was nice and hot. Had to check in late, and wished we could have stayed longer. Will be your guest again when in the area. "

"We had a great time! The house was beautiful and had literally everything we could need. Great spot for fishing and catching crabs. Everything from the pool, to the stocked kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room, to the games, the fire pit, grill area... was all great! Comfy beds, very tastefully decorated, and every little detail thought of. We had fathers day and two birthdays this week and a great time was had. The one issue that arose (no fault of the owner or us) was addressed and corrected within 15 minutes. This place was much more than we expected and we really appreciate the attention to detail. We are thinkkng of coming back next year! Thanks again!"

"Oaks on the River couldn't be more different from the chain hotels and mostly in good ways. The physical layout of rooms set in multiple buildings including two 200-year old mansions is the most obvious. Our king size bedroom felt very king-size. We arrived late in the rain and found our room with A MAP. Dining room was filled but the room service option was there. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and well worth its $25 charge, The grounds and dining areas in the mansions were striking. We chose OotR by chance in the midst of a 1600 mile driving trip but plan to return to stay and visit NYC."

"At such a low room rate, i was a little leery of staying there. I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and comfort of the room. My only complaint is that the toilet is far too low for a 73-year-old with a bad leg to use, no grab bar. Otherwise, excellent! "
