Immensely Frustrating CheckIn Process Tainted an Otherwise Great Stay.
The property was beautiful and appeared as advertised, but there were major issues with the check-in process. We encountered the following issues upon arrival: - The villa claimed they gave our booking away because the booking agent (Leavetown) had not paid or responded to their emails regarding pay. - The manager at the villa would not give us straight answers when we tried to get more details about the mix up. They later revealed that another group of guests had had the same issue the day before. - We had to scramble to book a hotel for the night and sacrifice vacation time the following morning to continue handling the dispute. - The issue was eventually resolved, after we provided receipts and got the two parties to communicate to each other. - In the midst of the dispute the property the receptionist revealed that the price Leavetown advertised to us (40% off) was not a rate that they permit but they eventually decided to honor it anyway. Leavetown sent us a refund for the first night and from that point forward there were no issues, but that incident somewhat soiled the overall experience.
