"On arrival we were informed that the restaurant wasn’t open. Having read previous reviews I think this is permanent and your website should mention this. The photographs on the website don’t resemble the rooms, which are not in the main building but in a barrack like construction at the back if the pub. The room we were allocated was very small. "The hotel has very good and comfortable amenities. Unfortunately our aircon was broken but they have left a fan in the room, quite inconvenient in the heatwave but good service. Very lovely place to stay."

"Convenient location in the Cotswolds and able to take a group of five friends in two rooms. Character-filled old and quirky inn. It was a heat wave while we were there but the rooms were quite comfortable with cross breezes and electric fans. The restaurant was hot though, so we opted for the pub in Barrington beside the river instead. Everything was clean and the staff were lovely. It’s a bit noisy beside the road, but not too bad. We were able to trickle charge our car overnight as well."

The staff kindly offered to accommodate us in a nearby Airbnb, but we were not comfortable staying away from the hotel. As a result, the four of us shared the one available room. We appreciate that the staff provided a credit to compensate for the inconvenience in place of the meal arrangement, and we are grateful for their assistance."
