Rocky Shore Cabin - Flanders Pond

"My mom, our dog, and I had a wonderful stay at the Rocky Shore Cabin. It is quiet, peaceful, clean, cozy, and has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing stay on a beautiful pond. Off the beaten path but close enough to town that we could really enjoy the best of both worlds. We ran around seeing the sights of Maine during the day and then came home to grill on the deck and enjoy the cabin views from the big windows at the dinner table at night. Ainsley is a wonderful and thoughtful host leaving us blueberry muffins on the table upon arrival and slippers to keep us warm and comfortable in the cool fall weather. She is very responsive and communicates easily and well, making sure we got in okay and had everything we needed. We would love to come back to Rocky Shore Cabin again someday - we highly recommend it!"

"If you’re looking to unplug and enjoy quality time with loved ones in a peaceful and beautiful setting, the pond house is absolutely perfect! My husband and I celebrated our 30th anniversary at this property and enjoyed exploring Acadia, the Schoodic Peninsula, and relaxing on the pond. I highly recommend reserving a canoe or pontoon so you can enjoy the pond to its fullest. The water is crystal clear. We loved it."

"The property is perfectly clean and they did a great job designing it. Perfect for a couple that wants to sit, read a great book and relax. Unfortunately we were not able to stay once we arrived. We had a misunderstanding upon booking. But the owner took care of everything immediately and refunded our money 100%. So I really appreciate that. About 45 min to Bar Harbour but very close to one of the entrances to Acadia. If you are looking for a peaceful stop, this is your place."

"The bungalow was exactly as described. If you are looking for simplistic without all the bells and whistles this is the perfect place. Very relaxing and peaceful. And the host was available with any questions I had. It was an amazing stay."

"Great little tiny home with many amenities! It was clean and quiet with privacy in a lovely setting. The pros: -Becka was excellent with communication! She reached out ahead of our arrival to give us a heads up about the town layout and lack of grocery store so we could stop at the grocery store in the adjacent town for food, etched made sure we were aware of where to park and how to enter. She even had a folder on the counter with maps of the surrounding land and a slew of information. -The home was well-equipped with pots/pans/dishes, soap and shampoo & conditioner, towels, blankets, etc. -Everything was eco-friendly! The compost toilet was a little strange at first but we got used to it quickly. Since it’s a farm, we could compost all of our food scraps as well, and the toiletries and cleaners were also eco friendly. -Plenty of hot water for showers! -Everything worked properly Cons: Really, the only thing was the bedroom area. The ceiling is very low (about 3 feet tall) and being tall people, this was a minor issue. We literally crawled into bed and learned real quick not to sit up in bed too quickly lol. Overall though, not a huge deal. We’d stay again if we go back to the area."
