"Such a lovely property--the balcony is so relaxing. Rooms are wonderfully appointed and enjoyed our conversations with the owner. He was so helpful and interesting to chat with. This is truly a place to relax and enjoy in the small town of Kostanjevica na Krki. We had a wonderful stay! A gem in southeastern Slovenia--both Vila Castanea and the town."

"Außergewöhnliche Gastgeber. Wir waren zu Fuß unterwegs und wurden von Marjan ins nächste Dorf gefahren, um einkaufen und Abendessen zu können. Er hat uns eine Stadtrundfahrt gegeben und viel über die Gegend erzählt. Nach der Abreise hatten wir unser Essen im Kühlschrank gegessen. Es war ein Feiertag, an denen die Geschäfte geschlossen hatten. "The food options in the whole resort, Terme cates, was awful. We ended up paying and renting a car, which was not the plan, so we could have some decent food options. We were staying at a hotel there. Otherwise, everything was good and as we hoped for."

"We stayed one night as a couple but there is heaps of room for a large family. The house was beautifully cool on a very hot day. There is a small thermal swimming pool just across the road where locals gather. If you’re a cyclist, it’s right on the Green Wellness route. All in all a very relaxing stay."
