"Great experience and very good hotel room "

"My first stay at Gunwharf Holiday Inn. Lovely cozy hotel. Close to all restaurants, railway station and outlet shopping. Hotel was clean, neat and tidy. The air conditioning wasn’t working but the staff accommodated us with 3 table fans . The weather was quite pleasant, so didn’t mind the air conditioning not working. Breakfast options were very good too. Will definitely be visiting the hotel in the summer. "

"Great nights sleep in room 104. Surprisingly quiet for a ground floor room next to the car park. The fridge in the room is also really handy. Couldn’t fault it and would definitely recommend/stay again."

"We traveled from the USA. We had a wonderful stay. We took the Hovercraft across the water and the Hotel was directly across the street The staff was very helpful and kind. The bath towels were very nice. The only thing missing for me were face washcloths. Our breakfast was included and was delicious and plentiful. Because it is such a spacious hotel, I was able to meet with my cousin and aunt I hadn’t seen in 50+ years inside the hotel. I was able to purchase tea and coffee and cake for us to enjoy while we visited."

"Clean, quiet and comfortable. Loved the Manor House/main building, which has an interesting and quirky history, dating back to the 1600s. Rooms are basic, a bit dated and located separately from the main building - now a conference centre - and are a complete contrast to the lovely 17th century features of the manor. Room was also quite hot as there is no air conditioning. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Check in was very quick. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace with a glass of wine overlooking the grounds. It was perfect for a one night stay to avoid the hassle and expense of parking in nearby Winchester, where we were heading the next day. Would stay again. "
