KINGFISHER COTTAGE Beachfront at Bay of Fires

Kingfisher Cottage, formerly one of the Bay of Fires Character Cottages, has the absolute best location at the Bay of Fires. You only have to walk a few steps to be sitting on Binalong Bay Beach, or even less will have you sitting on the deck at the local restaurant. This cottage has been a favourite holiday destination for many years. Recently the new owner has purchased all new bedding, kitchen accessories, large flat screen TV & DVD, dining table, couches and really comfy deck furniture, to help their guests enjoy the wonderful experience that is the Bay of Fires. They even supply gourmet coffee! FREE FAST WIFI is available. There is a full length, ENLARGED DECK to enjoy the fabulous views from.

The cottage has been repainted throughout, giving it a beautiful relaxed beach ambience, which is bright and airy. You will just love your stay here, and won't want to go home.

Kingfisher Cottage sleeps 6 guests, in 2 bedrooms, both with views of Binalong Beach and along the Bay of Fires. There is a large open plan living/dining/kitchen, with ocean and beach views from all areas. One bathroom services the cottage.

We had a fabulous stay here. I only wish it was for longer. You cannot beat the location of this cottage. Beautiful views, short walk directly across the road to the beach, and a great cafe next door for coffee and afternoon drinks/dinner. The house itself was very cute, and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Highly recommend for a stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Kookaburra Cottage. The position of this house was a standout. Blessed with gorgeous beach weather and stunning sunsets, it was a magical place to be. The house was so well presented and set up for a relaxed laid-back holiday.

Fabulous! Beautifully decorated, clean, well equipped cottage in a perfect location overlooking the bay. The whales playing in the bay were the icing on the cake for us!! Just wish we could have stayed longer!

Absolutely loved it. Amazing view, super comfortable space, and has everything you need -fridge, washer, dryer, kitchen facilities ect. Everything is clean and tidy, nothing is faulty, parking is undercover and there’s a cafe/restaurant next door which is so convenient plus beach right across the road, what more could you want. Will definitely be back, so sad we were only here for one night, loved it so much!!

The house itself is run down which is to be expected due to its age. The kitchen is functional and overall cleanliness was not too bad. The beds just about broke me but all of this really didn’t bother us too much as the location is second to none and our 2 dachshunds were welcome. Jan the property manager was friendly and helpful.

Our family loved everything about Kingfisher cottage. Beautiful walks along the beach, scrambling over rocks with the kids and coming home to fresh oysters with local white wine on the balcony, while watching the sunset. It doesn't get any better. Beautiful view of the Bay from all rooms. Very difficult to leave!

Kingfisher cottage is a wonderful all round experience, with views from the rooms and from the comfy front deck over the sparkling turquoise waters and clean white sands. The rooms are comfortable, and cosy even in winter. Everything is clean and in good condition. I found everything I needed and the hosts were thoughtful and helpful when I had questions. A great base to explore the natural beauty...although I found it easy just to relax, watch the view and do very little. Thanks.

Binalong Bay is beautiful and Kingfisher Cottage perfectly positioned on a quiet road. The veranda offers a fine view of the beach which is literally a minute’s walk. We’d definitely recommend the walk along to Dora Point which is mainly in the shade of the trees but offers some breath-taking views of the coastline. The nearest town is St Helens (11km away) which has plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. The best options for dinner seem to be Mohr & Smith and Captains Catch and our favourite daytime café was The Lifebuoy on Quail Street. The only place to eat in Binalong Bay is ‘Moresco’ which is just along the road from the cottage. The cottage was very comfortable and we slept extremely well. We did raise a few small issues with Jan – the fridge leaking in the hallway and the lack of storage in the bedrooms – and are confident that these will be promptly addressed.

My friend and I really enjoyed staying in this property. It was very clean and comfortable and we could have easily stayed longer. If we ever visit Binalong Bay again, I will definitely book this accommodation again.
