"The hotel is right across the street from bus transportation making it easier to move around David to Boquete. The staff is amazing and extremely helpful and accommodating to their guests. The only thing that would have made it better is if they had a concierge to help their guests with tours in the area, but over all they are the best hotel in David!"
"First thing…this is not a hotel in the standard sense…more like a hostel with a shared common area. if you want more privacy you may be ok with one of the stand alone casitas. Also our room had no hot water except a suicide shower so just be aware. Check-in was more like a condo with a key box. not really a big deal just wasn’t ready for that. We did a standard room an it was tight and the ac blew right on our face so again another room may have been much better. Garden was beautiful and views form yeh shred living was very nice. Perhaps if we had been staying longer and had a better room i’d have felt differently as the view, common areas with a kitchen you could cook your own food would have been nice. Had we chose a different room it amy have been a great place. Just wasnt prepared. wanted a hotel and got something different. "
"Las habitaciones al lado del rio, limpias y atendidas, el spa igualmente positivo, el desayuno no lo inclui por lo elevado del costo y hay mucho mejores opciones en el pueblo como boquete baking project.
Pero el hotel sigue siendo el mejor de boquete."
"I LOVED this hotel BUT we never saw a single staff member in our 2 night stay. Check in and check out was done virtually. Upload all your information and they will send you your unit and code. Unfortunately with travelling I missed that info. It did say they had check in during regular hours so I didn’t worry about anything. Until we are sitting in the lot in the rain trying to upload and fill out forms on my phone. Response wasn’t immediate. I tried calling the number a couple times and no answer. Emailed and messaged via Expedia numerous times . We actually walked next door to Destino restaurant and enjoyed a fabulous dinner while we waited for their «virtual agent» to respond. Once in the room we were happy with the cabin. Beautiful cabin in a beautiful setting. Out of town enough to feel peaceful. Was a little disappointed with the «hottie» as it was actually a jacuzzi tub on the deck that you have to fill with water. It was chilly and so didn’t use it because I didn’t want to wait to fill it. So I would consider staying there again and would give a better rating if we could deal with real people. I didn’t book any tours with them either because it was all with a QR code online. There wasn’t enough effort on their part to warrant the extra business so went into town and booked at a tour company in person! Side note…if you do choose to stay, eat next door at Destino. Great food and drinks. Great service! Lovely staff! REAL PEOPLE!"
"The residence was very nice and well set up. No issues. Communication with the host was disappointing. If customer service is important, this may not be the place. If it is of no concern to you, the spot is very nice."
"The room was absolutely lovely and restful. The hotel is very very nice and had a warm and relaxing feel to it. Old world elegance is the term I would use. We had breakfast and dinner at the Tach restaurant. The breakfast was very good with a varieties of choices and very farm to table. The dinner was excellent. Staff always friendly and attentive. The bar is especially charming and made a mean whisky sour. Loved the fireplaces for a cosy nightcap. All in all, a very pleasant stay. The only recommendation? Perhaps be the first luxury hotel to offer excellent decaf coffee. "
