The Lakefront Anchorage

"The Lakefront is super close to the Anchorage airport, and thus super convenient for folks flying in and out, on their way to a cruise or hunting/fishing expedition. But the property is VERY tired, and the wear and tear is reflected in almost every aspect of the hotel, from the rooms to the restaurants. We stayed at the property twice on our Alaskan adventure, and the highlight was truly on our second visit, when Matias helped us check in. He was helpful, efficient (despite being by himself at the desk and checking in a long line of people), and kind (something we cannot say about our first check-in experience). So Millennial Hotels, listen up….you are missing an opportunity by not putting some money into this place, and not promoting Matias to a decision making position. This hotel could be something. Right now, its tolerable."

Wyndham Garden Anchorage Airport

"We arrived around 11:30 am and check- in was clearly stated for 3 pm. No problem so we sat in the sparse lobby. We asked if we could get wifi and they said no, not until we check in and They wouldn’t physically check us in until 3 pm. They were really rather rude but it appeared that they were sticking with the rules as they have been burned in the past. Who knows! No hair dryer in room, no sink plug. One coffee pod and we were two guests. Not our most pleasant stay in a hotel. On the positive side, the hot breakfast was excellant with lovely fresh scrambled eggs, sausages and hash brown potatoes and very friendly ladies keeping attentive attention to any spill and keeping all items topped up. Plenty of hot and cold items."

"Very helpful and kind staff and super unique place. The room was toasty warm as well. Unfortunately our room was at the front of the building and there was no noise dampening at all. The road noise and kids partying in the parking lot across the street made it very difficult to sleep. The blackout curtains in the room leaked light from all around them, too."

Sheraton Anchorage Hotel

"The staff was awesome and welcoming. I had an issue with my primary room and they were able to switch my room with zero problems. The breakfast was good. Easy parking. The building was under construction when I arrived. Actually my 2nd stay at the location. "

Ramada by Wyndham Anchorage

"There was no shuttle from airport to hotel, phone number was in an endless loop of TOS, and wanting me to book a new reservation, there was no one to call, I took a taxi to the hotel (that is another story for another day). Please fix your shuttle system."

Aspen Suites Hotel Anchorage Downtown

6/10 Okay

"It’s very bare bones; fine for a quick work trip. The walls are very thin; you can hear your neighbors opening and closing their doors and moving around. The blinds were broken in my room, and they didn’t attempt to service the room until the evening of day 3 into my stay, which I had to say no to because I was getting ready for dinner and rushing to leave at the time, and on the next day in the late afternoon I had to ask them to service it. Other than that it was fine really. A few nice staff members. It’s walkable to downtown but not in the mix of everything by any means. "
