"The amount I pd for my room and then I get there and they said it was upgraded. It didn’t seem like and up grade. Couldn’t see out the windows , trash cans didn’t have bag liners in them. No ice. On the floor We were on the 5th floor. It just didn’t seem right. I would have like to have been on the 18th floor. But to change it after I check in. I paid for tower and that room just seem like dull. I been made my reservation in March. I wasn’t please with the room. It seem like a regular room. Someone made a mistake when the calling that room and upgrade. Seem like the added the breakfast on there for the amount of I had paid for tower."

"Marriott has always been a part of my travel plans, it has always been my first choice when it comes to hotels out of town. I have to say, though, this time I was thoroughly disappointed. I expected the complimentary breakfast, as is common in various locations across the U.S. nation, but here at Marriott Downtown Greensboro, it had to be paid for. The bedroom, claimed to house 4 people, felt small and almost claustrophobic. And to add to that, we had to share a bathroom without a fan for the fog from the shower or to disperse the smell of a meal's aftermath. It was uncomfortable, to say the least. It would be unfair, though, not to mention the help of the staff, especially the young gentleman who provided us hot water for some tea around the nighttime. I wish I had gotten his name, but I will be forever appreciative to him--his customer service was exemplary. If and when I return to Greensboro, NC, I will not be returning to this hotel. I would rather book at the Hyatt a couple minutes away, who offers free breakfast, enough square feet for 4 people, and a fan in the bathroom when sharing such a tight space--all for the same price. I expected more from such a well-known hotel company, one I have been in partnership for years. I will have to think twice before booking with Marriott again."

"We had 6 family members sharing the house. It is in a quiet neighborhood and has a lovely private deck. It was great to have 4 bedrooms. All were clean and comfortable with a generous supply of linens. We suggest adding a few extra garment hooks in the bathroom and bedrooms. We suggest having a large bowl in the kitchen available for serving food. We discovered later there wasn’t any ice in the ice-maker. Maybe it wasn’t hooked up for use or wasn’t working. We also suggest having a few extra trash bags.We were very happy with the communication with the host, the accommodations and the location."

"Dealt with ants, horrible noise pollution, insanely uncomfortable bedding/pillows, and an unusual amount of things we weren’t allowed to touch. I averaged about 3 hours of sleep each night I was here, with one night leaving me with no sleep. Bedrooms had no air circulation. Loud streets and dogs barking all night. I booked this stay for a big swim meet and had to miss an entire day of competition because of how awful the sleep was. "
