"Ruthin Castle has so much character and charm. We love the rustic feel, the fascinating history, and the unique atmosphere that makes it feel unlike anywhere else we've stayed. This visit we stayed in the Prince of Wales Suite, and it was fantastic. It felt incredibly grand and prestigious, making our stay even more special. The staff deserve a special mention too. Every member of the team we encountered was friendly, welcoming, attentive and genuinely helpful, which really adds to the whole experience. If I could suggest just one improvement, it would be for the maintenance team to focus on some of the smaller cosmetic details. The hotel certainly doesn't need a full renovation, as its age and character are part of its appeal, but touching up areas with peeling or chipped paint would make a noticeable difference. They're quick wins that would help keep the castle looking at its very best while preserving its historic charm. Overall, we had another wonderful stay and are already looking forward to returning. If you're looking for a hotel with history, character, a unique atmosphere and excellent staff, Ruthin Castle is a fantastic place to stay."

"Stayed 1 night with my husband and 6 year old daughter. Lovely clean hotel Poilte staff Nothing is too much for them. I asked for an iron and hairdryer, within minutes it was at my door!!! Nice touch with tea/coffee/hot chocolate and biscuits. Very close to all local amenities Shame they were fully booked or I would have stayed another night."

"Good value for money, was very basic but wasn't expecting anything more than that. Was very quiet was only us and one other pod in use! Toilets were fine, shower block had loads of ants! We weren't there very long as was just somewhere to sleep. Activities looked quite good but quite expensive for what they were"

"I had a very nice stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. It was really good being right across the road from the Beach and the Promenade is great for evening and morning walks, not too bad a walk into town, either. A very enjoyable weekend was spent there."
